Well, if you dont have a clue what the barber tools do, why do you even answer?
As for now there is no way to change the "appearance". Only when you create the starting party can be done. Talking about customization this game is completely naked.
I would be ok with my starting party characters despite limited customization options, but randomly changing them after the updates is something else need to be addressed by the devs.
Devs I assume you played XCOM, since you like turn based games.
Did you enjoy customizing your marines? We too.
Please implement a simple feature to completely tune the looks of our warband and their genders, so I can enjoy my amazonian warband, thanks!
The interface is already there, it's literally unlocking full customizing options at barber, and maybe adding some more cool options like scars.
