Unlocked Specializations
Note: Each one gives one new active ability to choose, and two passives. Will have to respec at the Brotherhood if you want to switch to them. Also if anyone knows if there's one for the axemen or blunt weapon folks let me know.

Each one you unlock costs a onetime fee of 200 influence.

Ranger: Assassin
Unlocked: Vertruse arena, then talk to the man in the Vertrusian Windmill near the border to Tiltren and Harag.

Main ability: Between the eyes. Ranged throw attack that will cause bleed, or double its damage on someone already bleeding.

One passive allows you to stack a damage buff on the enemy affected by bleeding or poison (Not worth gaining knife throw at the same level) and an interesting one at level 8 that will auto disengage them at the end of their turn, or gives them riposte (I think this is the only way to give a ranger riposte?).

Kinda interesting, but I'd rather have Cutthroat, which can be upgraded to basically delete any enemy already engaged.

Spearmen: Halberdier
Unlock: Arthas Arena (Found by the brotherhood HQ in the area down a cliff, need a piton and go through a cave). After completing the person who unlocks it is in the church in the main town of Colton in the area.

Main ability: Controlled Whirlwind. Deals damage to everyone around the unit and knocks them back, can also deal extra damage per unit hit.

Gains some defensive oriented passives, of note is the level 8 one that when you kill an engaged enemy, both this unit and the ally one engaged are granted dodge, which fully negates an attack. Rare buff.

Again, an interesting one? Out of all the unlocked specializations, this one seems to change how one goes about playing with them. Typically spearmen hang back behind an ally, this skill encourages to go out and make a mess of clumped enemies. Mixed message with gaining more passives that benefit allies nearby, maybe the idea behind this one is to wait for the enemy to engage, then pop out from behind, make a mess, then hide back behind their allies?

Archer: Aimed shot (2 valor points): Damage shot that increases damage and crit chance the further the enemy is from the shot.

Passives are actually interesting on this one. Level 5 gives you something that grants deflection when ending your turn, plus next turn you'll gain a free use of aim, which doubles range and makes sure there is no friendly fire. Level 8 gives flat damage bonus to any enemy that isn't engaged.

The main ability...Sucks. I'm not sure if its bugged, but even at max range of 18-20m it barely does more damage than a main attack that crits, and to get the most out of it on turn 1 you're looking at a 3 valor point investment. Just use Hunter that gives you a 1 valor point shot that has utility. The passives are neat though.

Swordsmen: Duellist

Unlock: Gossenburg Arena, then talk to the man at the Rouste yard.

Active ability (Medium armor): Final Blow. Single enemy damage dealer that grants unit riposte. Upgraded, if unit already has riposte, deals 50% extra damage.

Level 5 passive is Duellist' Instinct, that grants Brutality (30% damage increase) and upgraded 30% crit damage so long as the unit is engaged. Level 8 is Master Opportunist, which gives 25% bonus to attacks of opportunity and AoO's deal 25% less damage.

It's...fine. Final blow can be nice situationally since it is a single target and valor point vs. the AoE of Laceration, so no chance of friendly fire. But Fighter can get a spartan kick that does the same damage and will crit if the unit has no armor, and lets you wear heavy armor. The passives are good, but they're going up against other REALLY good other passives. Extra AoO damage is nice, but not at the expense of being able to remove an enemies weapon for a round or just laughing off the three biggest DoTs in the game.

That's it, I think. Unless someone knows if there's one for the hammer folks or axe bois.
