Coal source?

Has anyone found a supplier of coal? I'm still in the first area but am now about to go further afield.

Blacksmiths all sell it IMO. Which is great, as that's pretty much the only place you ever need it. Upgraded fireplace lets you turn wood into coal while resting too.

Upgrade it to 1* and you can turn wood into coal during rests.

When you have a firepit upgraded you can toss lumber into it when you rest to turn wood into coal and to get a happiness buff. Can toss a max of 10 lumber to make 10 coal per rest.

If you upgrade the campfire you can turn wood into coal, but in my experience you need the wood more for other things. Blacksmiths usually have coal for sale, so it's simpler just to buy it from them.
