Experience required to level professions needs tweaking

The game feels like i'm progressing at the same pace up to around level 6. After level 6 it takes an absurd amount of xp to level up my troops. I'm also running as many experience buffs as possible. professions on the other hand keep on leveling up rather fast.

I'm now at lvl 7 for half of my troop but i can already make lvl 12 gear for them...all professions are almost maxed as well. Anyone else finding similar issues in professions leveling up much faster than their characters?

I think the intent was for the game to be harder, so you'd have people dying more often.

Yeah i guess game is too easy right now. I heard it was harder during early access. It's a shame they didnt keep it like that. I'm experiencing the exact same issue as OP.

Devs did tried to make professions more time consuming but it frustrated a lot of people me included, as you not only need professions for actual craft but for there bonuses to the stats too and leveling things became too time consuming for big parties especially

Honestly I found it easier to just run into the higher level zones, fire my current troops and hire higher level ones then bothering to level someone who was 7->8, it takes like 30+ battles to go up a single level, I think I finished 2 entire zone stories and before a single man got to 8.

I'm having the issue of I maxed out most of my professions (except woodcutter and tinkerer), maxed out my mercenary-wide bonuses (except criminal), and i'm still at level 7. And I didn't do anything out of the ordinary to do this, just played the game normally. I also have a full set for 10 mercs of all the new gear for the next two tiers, but can't use it.
