What is the mountain rune?

After finishing that puzzle in the ancient tomb I got a Mountain Rune. What is that exactly?

In that very Tomb, you will unlock the profession called Scholar, and the camp equipment called Lectern. Once you build it, you will meet the mechanic which uses those Runes. Once you do, try figuring out the guessing mini-game involved.

In case you are confused, get back here and I will explain to you.

I can't find where to build the lectern. I completed the entire temple.

I am not sure on this one, but I think you will eventually unlock it once you meet the requeriment level in your Path : Mysteries and Wisdom . (Default Hotkey : W)

To be precise, you need to reach level 4 in the Path : Mysteries and Wisdom to unlock the lectern.
