Lone Wolfs/Solo run
is it even viable in this game? because i love how battle brother handle this type of thing and i hope Wartales also can do the same.

You mean with a single merc? Maybe with adaptive difficulty, since the enemies scale to your level and numbers, do you have the game? No harm in trying out if you do.

i'm going to go with no, on the basis of attacks never miss, there is no dodge mechanic as such besides the odd skill that may dodge once.

in short you would just get deleted very quickly

Eh, with a Swordsman using a Riposte build, and adaptive difficulty to prevent enemy number bloating? Could be doable, Champions I imagine would be a straight nogo though

Even if it was possible, I doubt it would be fun. You'd be missing out on so much of the game 's content. There are tons of games that are designed to be played like that which will give a much better experience if that's what you want.

** It would be a good addition, OP; A "champion mode" style of play kind of like "new game plus" in other rpgs.

wait, u can have animal companion that fight with u other than horse in this game?

Oh right, the difficulty adds a modifier to the number of enemies, with a minimum... so hard would be 1v3 minimum, I guess if you play on Novice, maybe it'd be doable? lol

Yeah, you can capture the Wolves, Boars, Bears, ect, though it's not really a true solo run, different beasts will effect the enemy scaling differently as well (Wolves have a smaller effect then Bears for instance), Bears sound like a good idea until someone hits it with any of the DoTs, then RIP Bear

i've played solo up to level 5 as a bezerker. you miss out on some content like professions and capturing prisoners & animals. it's definitely doable, and in some way, it's easier as your overhead is extremely low (only 1 dude).

Hi, I just wanted to share, that it is completely viable. I have a level 4 hunter and I just conquered a camp with 3 reinforcements. (16 total enemies). I had to run around the entire map and make them all follow me in circles. I had to kill the archers first, though. I was lucky to get a fire bow so I just lit everything up in fire and run.

That's not true, your characters can dodge at parts but mostly in late game when they are fullly skilled among other things.
However, you can't really always tell if the dodge will trigger or not.
Depending on the profession you can also learn skills that let you reduce the damage and strike back or parry a attack aswell.
So, there are possibilities.
