Plauged man in Tiltren

There is a plagued man in a mill in the Tiltren and his wife asks you to either kill him or take him away.

If you take him, take him to Stromkapp and cure him, then return the mill, she still says "how am i going to live without him?" and after you cured him if you release him, he won't return to his wife.

It would be cool if he did. I would like to help easing that womans misery.

Quite a oversight as well... "Either recruit this fella or kill him right away".
Giving only these two options ... not idea what they were thinking.

"Requires 1 Plague Cure"
"Cure him"
"Stays with his wife"
"Thank you! Here.. Its all I have."
"50 gold or something"

Done..

Dont look that hard.

Agreed. The whole time i was wondering why I couldn't just give him a vial of plague cure.

He's one of my best fighters. Cure him and enlist him. That's the best bet.

I thought it was odd too. I don't mind a new recruit, but I bought a plague cure in town specially for him and trekked back out that way. Lucky I ran into ghost wolves on the way or I wouldn't have had the resources to recruit him. Was expecting to cure him and get influence or information.

Theirs me thinking "recruit him" is a very odd option, could have just asked for a divorce if he was sick of his wife no need to fake his own plague death and run away with a mercenary company.

But seriously, brace yourself coz theirs much more wtf moments coming than that my friend

is this tovus? i recruited him and cured him, but he still has the "carnivorous" trait. just wondering if it goes away or if it's bugged.

Bugged, I have him but he has no "Carnivorous" game is finicky like that.. I have seen other players who have have cured him and he has the trait.. It could be due to time that passes from game start till you get him... I got him fast on a restart.. I think this since on the first time I played Ludern I saved the merchant at the tree but the second time I waited and he was dead when I arrived..

From an in-universe perspective, it is also odd that he does not request to be reunited with his wife, after you treat his illness.

He's a worthwhile addition to the party but the narrative elements surrounding his situation are weak.

Because he is a MAN. He's too tough and surely to show his weakness to a bunch of kills. TO protect her, he must put on airs.

Yeah, i hoped he would say something about the wife in the camp at least, something like "i want to return to my wife but i need to earn money too, if you keep me at least i can send her my wage". I haven't participated in the early access and i am optimistic about the road ahead about these kinda stuff. It shouldn't be hard to add completion to this storyline.

I didn't have a plague cure on hand, so I went to the random folks who sell them. Problem is they were looking for him, so my only choice was to fight them or turn him in. I did the latter (He didn't really have good skills in this game). Got a nice accessory out of it at least.
