"singing" What mechanically does press the buttons mean
Most of the mini games are clear but I'm probably both slow & fumble finger BUT what does press the buttons entail , Is it click on them when the "note button" arrives at the delineated line that marks all three note "lines" at / close to the bottom of the track the "note" proceed down.

OR is it click on the "notes" somewhere else?

Is there a key stroke that can be used or is it only mouse click (which is a pain as most mice have a tiny lag?

It's click on each note as it passes over the appropriate spot on the line at the bottom of the track. Don't know of any way you can avoid using the mouse for this. It is probably the clumsiest of the mini games but with practice you can get a bit better at it and you don't appear to have to be note perfect to get a reward - just not so bad that the audience starts throwing stuff at you :steamhappy:
Thank you very much I was afraid that would be the answer. Clearly I'm not even vaguely good at it but at least I know I'm not doing the wrong thing.

I did wonder if the pace of the notes might change as the "Bard got a higher rating". I've noted that the pace of things is fractionally different re Mining & wood chopping. Also that with lock picking as the "thief" gets better ratings there is a little more leeway before the lock pick breaks

To be honest I think it's an illusion that any of the mini games get easier with profession experience, it's more a case of you getting better at performing the tasks. Stick with it and you'll probably be headlining at the Wartales version of Glastonbury in no time
Not likely unfortunately. That mini game plays straight to my weakness. I'm very right hand dominant - the bug bear is I had a stroke 20 odd months ago and one of the few long term effects is fine motor control in my right hand. It is slowly "improving" but only quite slowly. My "mountain" of toy soldiers sits there and silently mocks me as the control of a paint brush is still not close to good enough

Really sorry to hear that, good luck with the rehab, hope you make a full recovery to tackle both painting and music making
Thank You Very Much.

I got off basically very lightly - the right hand, my speech starts to slur if fatigued and my feet get "tangled" with going down steps or long steepish gradients.
Over half those on the ward at that time had largely or complete onside failure so everything from starting to walk again.

I can do most things except complex small control quite well. As far as rehab are concerned I'm about right. It will just take time and more time using the hand trying to "stretch" what it can do.

I click when they drops into bottom of the track. Sometime the circle is blanked and sometime is still full. (it is uncontrollable) Anyway, the final result is failed. It has three sections, any mean for these three sections? I have tried it almost hundred times but all are failed. Anyone can give me some hints?

What?

You have three non-moving circles towards the bottom of the three strings. Then you have other circles moving downwards on those strings. When they overlap, click on the fixed circles. It's done with the rhythm of the music so you can listen to the beat to get the timing.

Yeah, I have a visual disability and I'm so old now I don't have sufficient motor control in my right hand to this this bard thing. I tried a few times last night in Titlren Tomb. Nah. No chance. I can do the mines, wood and fishing fine but not this.

Plus I've got exactly no experience at all at what I believe are called "rhythm games". Which is funny really 'cos I can still play my piano and guitars OK. Decades of practice I guess.

Any road, what do you actually get out of this Bard malarkey and is there any major downside of not being able to do this mini-game?

It's just about the most useless profession in the game IMO. I don't think you lose any content by not doing it, except that tomb. Only "loss" is the attributes of a merc mastering that profession, and the token gold and influence from doing it at the inn.

Thanks for your advice. I had tried another hundred time but still fail. Sometime the dropping circle is blanked. What does it mean? Sometime, when I click, it change to red. What does it mean?

If it's white, you got the timing right. If it's red, you didn't.

Thank you very very much such a clear explanation! Sadly missing from the game :steamsad:

As I have fine motor control issues (in the vast bulk of cases hardly relevant) I suspect I will be in the same bunch a "tclok"

No problem. Did the "?" button at the top of the screen when playing the mini game not help?
