i find alot of the times i get the points i want to level up anyway so i dont use that much
yeah i've noticed that. i just assumed there was more uses for influence but if that's what it's mostly for then i'll start using it for the banners i guess
Well 15 willpower makes you survive for one time from kill moves. Critical Hit is super OP if you can crit often. Also Movement speed can make you a psycho reaching those archers or such.. Str or Dex is covered by gears.
The professions can also add a fair amount once they are leveled up.
2. negotiate the reward from quest board.
3. Career Plan for raising stat
4. Banner bonus buff use.
5. Some quest need influence if you want avoid fight.
6. recruiting slave or prisoner
i think that's all for now.
Particularly useful ones are Swift Progress (increased XP from combat), Expected Profits (+50 carry weight), Respect for the Enemy (extra loot from combat), and- above all- Overflowing Motivation (-25% fatigue accumulated, which stacks with food buffs).
Of these resolutions, Overflowing Motivation is probably the most consistently useful one. Anytime you rest, the cost to use it again goes up by 100 Influence. So using it twice in a row costs you 300 Influence- i.e. 100 for the first use and 200 for the second. Using it a third consecutive time costs 300 influence, so if you use it in 3 consecutive rests, the Influence cost is 500.
You can see how quickly you can deplete Influence just through this mechanic. The cost only goes down when you go for a rest without using it.
In the course of 500 hours of gameplay, I have probably spent 5000+ Influence on the various Resolutions, especially Overflowing Motivation. Also, in later parts of the game, it can easily cost 250 Influence to recruit new party members, including prisoners.
For my playstyle, I can't have enough of it. I only use it on occasion to negotiate contracts and save the bulk of it for Resolutions.
Not for me. The main sink is Resolutions. Gold rewards from contracts are already good by default. But most Resolutions have unique benefits that you cannot obtain through other means.
