It is my first save and I am founding It very easy. Try a 1h shield figther, 1 archer hunter, 2 rangers, the berserk you find in a quest in Tiltren and another swordman/warrior/brute, at leat lvl 4
I'm playing on "Experienced" difficulty with region-locked settings.
And I've already done 90+% of everything in the previous town so...
To keep up with the damage of enemies, you need to have weapons/armor equal to your level +1. In order to obtain those, you need to fight enemies of that level.
Part of the side effects of region locked.
You can compensate by crafting your own items (at certain levels), grinding until you reach those levels, or just turning down the difficulty (it’s a +/- 1 modifier to levels).
Weapons and armour
Once your gang is geard up, even for lvl 4, it shouldnt be a problem
The game is designed around Adaptive, where this isn't a problem and where the scaling is "gradual".
There's no such thing in Region-Locked and how can you? You chose a game mode where certain areas have specific levels.
Again, you can partially solve this by just crafting your own gear at certain levels.
Or adjusting the difficulty (you can always adjust the difficulty at any time) to give yourself the +1/-1 adjustment that you might need.
If you wanted a game mode that wasn't abrupt or doesn't require grinding in the first place, that's what Adaptive is for.
Side question: can you go back to tombs and get Scholar items? Or are they a one-time structure? Scholar lectern is always empty.
Tombs doesn't "refill" nor "refresh" if that's your asking. Once you've explored one, it's done. If i recall correctly, each tomb should give you 4-6 items to use in Lectern + a legendary one.
Also, you don't need to have anything in the lectern to get the bonuses it confers (exploration exp.), as long as you have a Scholar working on it.
You can go back if you have not got the items yet because you did not have a scholar. once you get the items you are done.
I went Tiltren, Vertuse, Arthes and then Ludern and finally Drombach. Ludern was brutal and I had to grind hard to get to level 8 to finish it.
I think Arthes and Vertruse are about the same really on Region Locked.
If you have 12 mercs on Region locked you should be outnumbering the the early level 4 mobs in Arthes by about 3:2 so the only explanation for any arse ripping is gear.
Have you not crafted a complete set of tier 1 gear for your group yet? Have you started making oils after doing some rats nests? Have you done the Tiltren ghost hunt and got the recipe for the Stag armour layer?
With all of those in place you should be roflestomping early Arthen with 12 mercs.
But I gotta ask, did you completly finish exploring tiltren and not just the main quest? I usually hit lvl 4 / 5 and have my frontliners in ghost gear before moving on and it's not like I have to farm fights.
Yeah, I did too. I actually open the roads to Arthen and Vertruse towns at L4 so I could do some trading but I didn't start exploring either in earnest until level 5 and kitted out with a fair amount ghost gear already. Part of eight at that stage. Arthes and Vertruse seemed about the same to me at that stage, very little difference in difficulty.
