Is there a list of animal skills somewhere?
Thinking about making plans for an animal ranger, but currently not far enough into game (nor can I play right now without my co-op partners) Are there a list somewhere? If not...uhh, wanna share your wisdom? lol

Bear:
Monstrous Swipe: Basic Attack, When Engaged and only Engaged it gives Relentless Status giving this unit attack of opportunity
Natural Sprinter: Cost Valor Point, Self-Inspiration buff boast unit movement, Bear gain this ability automatically while lvl-up
Intimidating Growl: Taunt skill of Bear, Cost Valor Point, It's Specialisation skill at lvl 3

Boar:
Savage Impalement: Basic Attack, Guarantee Critical Hit if the target is engaged
Unstoppable Charge: Disengages and Charge straight line skill, Boar gain this ability automatically, Cost Valor Point
Rush: Specialisation Skill at lvl 12, Gives target a debuff Destabilization Guard reduced to 0, Never tested this skill due to game exp curved.

Polar Wolf
Freezing Bite: Basic attack, adds debuff of Slowdown reduce target movement to half
Evasion: Deflection skill, Cost Valor points, Polar Wolf gain this ability automatically while lvl-up
Licking Wounds: Cost Valor points, Self Heal and removes debuffs, Specialisation skill at lvl 5

Mole Rat
Nibbling: Basic attack, Target engaged with an Ally, the damage is increased by 50%, Pair it with their passive skill of Strength in Number it will increase their damage
Call of Swarm: Specialization skill at lvl 5, in my experience is not working

WarPony
Rush: Basic Attack, Nothing special
Rearing: Specialization Skill, Buff AOE skill of 4m that gives Inspiration (Boast your Allies movement)
Devastating Charges: Like Unstoppable Charges but ignore Guard, Cost Valor points, Specialisation Ability at 8
Redoubt: self buff skill that gives unit Protection and In Position buff basically making this unit tanky also most Horse Armor have reflect 15% damage to their attacker, Cost Valor points, Specialisation skill at 12

I didn't mention passives skills of the animals it will be a long list. Most of it can be found on online so far online guides doesn't mention their active skill and basic attack. There is some video in youtube which mention all active and passive ability of animals. I only mention animals in my current party.

Personally best Passive skill for Animals is the mole rat or rat Snooper ability. Each encounter meaning visiting to place or talking to wandering merchant your rats can find cheese. W/ 5 mole rats in my party having this ability it makes food management so trivial. My rats have found 50-200 cheese. Cheese provide 2 food also there is a food recipe were you need cheese as food ingredient.

Apart from bears, animals are not really good in combat. No armor unless they're ponies, and always fewer options than human companions.
Bears however, are amazing. I have a beast master and together with my 3 bears he kicks ass. You get more attacks, and there are bows designed with animals in mind.
In short, get a few bears and you will never look back.

Sorry but that's not what I am asking, I just want to know a list of the animal skills so I can ponder if there might be useful animal passives I can gain for a beastmaster who gets to have 2 of their passive skills

Ah, I see. I've been over the wiki lately, though, and there doesn't seem to be a proper list of anything at the moment. There's this list: https://wartales.fandom.com/wiki/Beasts but almost no animals are detailed there yet.

I like the beast archer, so let me mention a few I remember off the top of my head.
Alpha wolves are great. The passive if you have 2 of them, and a beast master is a 50% crit chance. LVL 12 you can get another passive to treat incoming crits as normal and AOO when that happens.
Bear passive is not dying when you go down to 1 hp.
Mole Passive is bonus damage while in the dark, not the most helpful.
Boar Passive is enrage when any ally dies.

I updated the wiki will all the skills to Alpha Wolf, Dominant Sow, Crocswine, Mole Rat, Pony/Warhorse, Bear and Creeper so far. :)
I had also captured mosquitos and other animals in early access but dont have them in my current run and I dont remember the exact skills so I will update it after I got them again. :)

This is totally false man, Wolves, especially alpha wolves are very good when used correctly. Bears do like very little damage are just thick tanks. I run 3 alpha's and a bear but i don't really need the bear. It all depends on your troop makeup but alpha's are OP when used properly. I can one hit kill and heal fully with the right specs.

Sure thing! :)
I just updated the wiki again with the Cardinal Mosquito Skills.
Missed is the Bears "Cuddly Pelt" if parked next to a Human in your camp add 1 extra Valour Point each rest. A regularly have full valour points and seldom if ever low numbers. This gives all much better use of optional active skills

It's called Cosy Pelt and I already had posted it in the wiki. ^_^
