Attributes Reset?
I didn't realize about the career path button till lvl 4 on my crew and was mostly taking whatever stat was giving ++ (the two).

Is there a way to respect attributes later to redo these (costing influence to spec ++ where you want) or no?

I read there is a respec for Specializations once you get lvl 3 or 4 of the unlock thingy.

I'm not too deep in, so if there is no respec later, I would rather start over, but if I can respec and better optimize my stats, ill just fix it later.

so I asked a question about a bear I tamed the other day having 40 more con than a bear 2 levels lower that it. your starting mercs and the ones you get early on are essentially viable throughout the game but if you recruit higher level mercs they come with massively increased base stats (usually a very high con) and you still get to put all their points in as you level them. the only thing they don't have are all the traits you've picked up along the way. so definitely the games seems to lean into your mercs dying or your dismissing them for just straight better ones as time goes on.

So far as I know, no respec of attributes, only skills and specialisations

For attributes you need to hire new merchs and kick the old ones... I got a legendary weapon, that always crits, if my hero has the higher STR. I put so much into crit and not enought into STR and Iam thinking of doing the same with my lvl 11 merch... A little bit sad :D He is even a couple with the captain of my team, lol...
Except in rare cases I deliberately generally look to take the ++ so far it balances out across the character and is generally getting better benefits. Primary Path statistic can often be compensated for getting a little less by better equipment OR by matching "profession" with fighting path as there can / are some significant benefits there I had not initially realised. These appear to scale sharply up to "profession" mastery.
