I don't like killing women in games

I've been eagerly anticipating this game for years, and I picked it up last week and started playing it.

I was put off by the recent marketing, but I hoped it wasn't an indication of the game-play itself.

However, early on in the game I was forced to fight a young woman without any warning that it would lead to a combat scenario. Okay, I thought, maybe my mercs will subdue her and the quest will proceed. Nope, they brutally murdered her. Granted, there were probably ways to avoid this, but I was quite shocked when the gruesome 2H ax execution animation played and killed her.

After that, I started wincing with every gray-haired bandit grandma I slaughtered. To the point that I've stopped playing and refunded the game.

This level of innate violence against woman, especially so front-loaded into the game, makes me too uncomfortable. Hopefully, maybe with mod support, the auto-generation of fodder NPCs and be trended away from old women.

Do be like that. You aren't killing women. You are fighting mercenaries, city guard, bandits, slavers, and everything in between. This game is really fair in that regard. Leaders and hero units can be male or female. It's a lot more open minded than many in the genre.

Lol, a troll surely? Being ok with killing men, but against fighting women in exactly the same situation is textbook sexism.

The decision to add women as playable characters and opponents is questionable for obvious reasons, but since they have the same stats as men and the game treats them as equals, killing them is fair game, really.

Real world logic for why women are protected doesn't apply here.

I really don't like that mental image when my squad of battle-hardened mercs are wading into battle against a squad full of gray-haired bandit women.

If you want to treat women and men differently just because of their gender / sex, then yes, that's sexist. It's literally the textbook definition of sexism. It doesn't get any more straightforward than that.

get battle brother, they ban you in their forum if you write about women there you can only kill men in a low fantasy medieval setting
