Cause the game has slavery and whipping of people to make them work harder.
So you can imagine in current geopolitical climate, what would happen next.
Should it also include the option for a Mongolian fold? A handicapped character? Body positive characters? Non-binary? Where do you stop?
As you stated it is no big deal and it is up to the creators of the game and world. Maybe that will come with an expansion.
People are already triggered by the slavery mechanic being present, we shouldn't encourage their snowflake rage imho.
Whenever your char has his turn you just hold the foil infront of him or your eyes.
why does it bother you that there's not?
Because it doesn't fit the setting.
Why was there no white actors playing Wakanda citizens?
If this game was a Zulu African setting would you want white skinned characters dressed as Zulu characters to tick all your boxes?
Because I'd like to create a character based off myself. still doesn't explain why me wanting to do that upsets you so much
Its because there are 50 discussion posts about skin tones, and usually people are really disrespectful, demanding representation, etc etc. Some people got tired about this subject. Check discussion posts in the historic. Edit: some even came with that ''white people bad'' ... It was a circus.
If thats the case, i can understand the frustration, but i did not do that. I tried to be respectful, and simply asked a question. If there are that many discussion posts about it, it would seem like its a wanted feature, which i wouldnt see the reason for ignoring so many customers on an aspect thats clearly important to them. For those that want to make it seem like its some real life place in real life history, you wouldnt have to create darker people, and I'd be fine with that. I just dont understand the hate for wanting it.
I do think we should get a number of body types that affect characters stats. Slim and tall, short and stocky, big... etc.
Ive known a few guys and a couple women including a buddy's mom who were giant. They were over 6 foot and kind of bulky (not fat but just... kinda huge. I'd really enjoy seeing some different body types and them having real attributes game-play wise.
Mordheim did handicapped characters, they could lose an arm but still fight. A leg might be tougher, and while someone who is actually crippled would very unlikely it would be really interesting to have a such a character have two professions or an expanded strategy role instead of them taking the field.
I could really see them being a scholar and alchemist. And at later levels, when you get attacked, them on your cart tossing bombs lol.
Would also love to see an expansion featuring new cultures and environments.
People would definitely lose their ♥♥♥♥ over enslaving and whipping a non white NPC... Hell, some might still go crazy.
Thats probably the only slightly understandable reply here. Still, i wouldn't see it as a problem, nor should anyone else, if darker people could be enslaved and whipped in the game if the white people get the same treatment. I was never looking at it as a political thing, or demanding racial inclusion. I just want to make a character look like me.
