lol, i spend quite a bit of time getting these things done.
No problem! I loveee tomes but the slider puzzle is definitely my least favorite part.
I don't mind puzzles but this kind of puzzle just takes forever and, personally, I don't find it to be an interesting addition to the tomb experience.
Is it the puzzle that's stupid, or the puzzle solver?
Like all the other profession mini-games, it's a nice little palate cleanser. A change from the rhythm of the game. And a more thoughtful one than yet another quick-time-event.
That's probably a bit harsh. When you invest a ton of time and energy into a game like this, I think it's pretty normal to eventually get frustrated with such a mechanic. That's why they put solvious in the game. If you enjoy the puzzle, awesome, solve it to your hearts content. If not, awesome, pay solvious and move on.
As harsh as calling the puzzle stupid. If you don't want to do it then, as you said, solvious will do it for you. But if you take the time to create a thread and type a message to lash out that the devs had the temerity to ask you to think for a minute, then it will take me a lot of effort to not jump to some unflattering conclusions.
What really drives me nuts is lockpicking. For some reason my sound card doesn't produce lockpicking sounds like in youtube guides, so I have to do it randomly. Master thief has no effect on this, "easier lockpicking" item does not make it easier either.
Understood, my friend. But I meant that's a bit harsh to call the other gentleman (the puzzle solver) stupid because he doesn't find the puzzle fun or interesting.
