I fished north of fishery in Vertruse, before I even knew there was a chest.
I did this many weeks ago, in game. The fishing spot has not respawned. Did I lose the chance to collect the chest? Is that even the correct spot?

i only know of 2 chests thats are fished up, and the one outside of a tomb is at a fishery fishing spot, and it dont needed the prequiste meeting where you get the key for it, the first time you fish there, the chest will appear, and mess with your fishing counter after that, because the chest eats up a lure counter...

Oh, ok. Bing AI told me that it was just north of a fishery after saving the guy. I will check the fishing spots there when a mission leads me there. Thanks a lot!

I have fished every spot available prior, but there was a new spot available at the fishery. It seems that the chest is semi random, or, I have no Idea what happened. Either way, I found it at the fishery. After exhausting every other fishing spot.

Edit: This makes me wonder, do fishing spots not respawn?

They do, but not everywhere and it takes a while.

they have a longer respawn time than other resources, but it seemed to me that the fishery spots resfresh much faster than the "outside" ones

I also fished my chest at the fishery north of Vertruse, but was missing a key. How do I get the ornate key and was wondering, it is part of some quests? I'm at my first run....

You need to rescue a fisher in one of the bandit locations, I think it's the tower north of Marheim.
