Components, Trinkets, and Miscellaneous
What do I do with Components, such as Red Eyeball, Trinkets, such as Silver Brooch, and Miscellaneous, such as Infected Brain? Can I sell them? They hog up weights; and I can use the Krowns.

Thanks for your reply. Trinket sell, Component save, and Miscellaneous maybe for the future.

to spare alot of carry weight get your hand on at least the first Areas Travelpost (its cheaper than the other ones) , there you can bunker all items you dont need right now, but still need later, or unclear what to do with now.

Thank you for your reply. Travelpost? What is it and how does it work?

Once you reach level 4 in the Trade and Craftsmanship path (that secondary leveling system), you will be able to pay to construct travel posts in each region's major cities, it costs a fair bit but you can use them to effectively fast travel between each other - though you still have to pay and feed the company and the travel does not count as rests -, stash items and move them between the posts - for a small price -, and leave companions you don't need/want but don't feel like dismissing outright.

Thank you for your reply. Trade and Craftsmanship? Are they two different skills to learn? Or is it 1 skill? Are they (or is it) something I learn to do better over time like cooking or smith-ing? And most importantly, how do acquire these (this) skill(s)? Everyone in my party is above level 4.

It's a one Path, not skill(s). And it has separate levels.

It's a Path, the trophy with laurels in the bottom right of the screen.

Thank you all. One last question: How do I get on this Path?

Paths are essentially secondary passive leveling, you progress them all at once by doing the challenges outlined in each path, like paying people on time for Trade and Craftsmanship or stealing stuff for Crime and Chaos.

Each Path has its own bonuses on specific levels (Travel Posts, Black Market access, etc) while also having upgrades you can choose once you gain a level.

This is becoming more and more complicate. I just hope I recognize these events when I see them. Thanks //Wandering Flare// for your patience.

It's really not that complicated. Once you load up a save, look to the bottom right of your screen where the camp/inventory/etc icons are and you'll see the Paths icon there. When you open it, it'll show you the 4 Paths at the top, they are active at all times so you don't have to choose one, the challenges to progress them will be shown on the left and the upgrades you can take when you get a level on the right. If you hover your mouse over the icon of a path at the top it will show you what path-specific unlocks you have, like the aforementioned Travel Posts once you reach lvl4 in Trade and Craftsmanship.

Best way to think about Paths is your mercenary company's progress in various fields. Fighting progresses Power and Glory path, trading and crafting progresses Trade and Craftsmanship, stealing and other crimes progress Crime and Chaos, and exploration of all kinds progresses Mysteries and Wisdom. Pretty much everything you do in the game progresses one Path or another.

Hey //Wandering Flare// thank you again. Once I opened the laurel leaves icon, a lot became clearer. So, how many PP's in one box on the left will open a corresponding box of knowledge on the right?

You need a certain amount of PP to get the next level in a Path - you can see how much in the progress bar in the middle - and once you do, you can click the bar and get 1 point to spend on the upgrades on the right. The challenges are also infinitely repeating and continue to count progress even if you haven't picked up the PP reward yet, meaning if you steal something very valuable, for example, you can get multiple completions of the "Steal items worth X amount of crowns" challenge.

I know you must be tired of hearing this from me, but truly, thank you, THANK YOU. I finally got it. Using PP's to increase Levels. Levels generate Knowledge points to be used in the provided categories.
