missing golden key in Vertruse, minor spoiler

so, I am missing a golden key. I fought a lady and her soldiers in Alazar Abode, and to finish my quest I have to "find Corene and free her". According to a walkthrough I read online I am supposed to get a golden key after the fight. I need that key to free Corene. The problem is that I didn't get a key after the fight. I reloaded and tried again two more times, but no key. I will get a border pass if I finish the quest, so I am quite stuck right now. Does anyone have had the same problem?

DUnno about this particular key.But u can get golden key in different region and use it here.Also u can buy border pass to move on or climp over mountains.

The key can be found on the dead lady's body after the battle - it is not battle loot. There is also a spare golden key at the bandit pass to Ludern.
