Skull bandits changed?
Found the usual Skull bandit squad near the town of Garussa in Ludern. On the same map, there's a Red level second band of Skull bandits roaming north by the lake next to Nerpun Mines.

This is new. Anybody else noticed anything odd?

Not sure what your confusion is exactly. In case it's not clear to you, a bandit camp can have several skull marks to show you how many reinforcements it can get. If there are 3 skulls it can get x 3 reinforcements. These bandit reinforcements roam the land, so you'd do wise to defeat them before you make your final assault on the bandit camp itself. If you defeat all of them there will no longer be any skulls when you travel to the bandit camp - only the group that you're originally attacking.

You're obviously kinda new to this forum aren't you? You've just done a really top quality job of mansplaining how the game works to somebody with 1300+ hours game time :-) If you take the time to have a look you'll see that Robin of Spiritwood has posted hundreds of times here with answers to more questions than you've probably ever dreamed of!

Right. Okay. So you expect me to look at a guy's entire posting history before replying to a post. Right... Do I need to look at yours too before I respond too your comment ?

He was a bit vague in his post, but if my reply was not helpful to Robin then no harm, no foul. If he's played 10,000 hours of Wartales and he knows the answers to aaaaall the big questions that mortal little me haven't even thought of in my insignificant head and he knows the meaning of the skulls, then no harm, no foul. I have a hunch he might just deign to forgive me for my terrible "trespass".

I'm pretty sure he doesn't need you coming riding in on your white steed to save his honour. If there was no confusion from his part and he knew this already, then he'd simply dismiss what I wrote. Plain and simple. By the looks of it, he already did maybe.

By the way, new players ask the most simple questions on these steam forums quite often, to which the answer might be obvious to you and me both. Generally, you might like to help clear up their confusion. Just being friendly helpful, yes ?

and you've overreacted a bit with your snarky bodyguarding for another forum user. I mean, are you OP's PR manager or something? ;D

Completely unrelated - but I thought I noticed recently that the spawns at the beginning of combat have changed quite a bit. My party often seem more distant from enemy groups now.

Maybe just my imagination but it definitely seems to be happening more frequently as of late.

I'm pretty sure that's not new. The 3 skull groups for Ludern have always been the Edorian mine, the group outside Garussa Clan, and the last between the Secluded Cottage and Nerprun Mine

Aha, I see the issue now- we have 2 missions to clear the old Edoranian Mine, so was counting that 2 times. The icons are close but don't overlap- looks like 2 Bandit hideouts.
It's not 4 groups, still 3.
My bad.

My issue is with people who barge into a forum and don't even bother to read the question properly before putting in their irrelevant response. Even the most cursory check of the history of this forum and you'd be able to see who the regular contributors and knowledgeable participants are. It's very much like someone who turns up for a totally new job and straight away tells everybody what they should be doing.

I'm not precious at all. You got me all wrong. I was simply amused by your overreaction, hence the sarcasm and self-irony from my part. Do not assume that everyone here on Steam have such fragile egos that they can't be spoken to without turning hostile and resentful and whatnot. You and I are on perfectly good terms as far as I am concerned. Question is whether you share that stance, or if you have to push on to create a strawman out of me in order to justify your own overreaction. That's how almost all of these completely pointless conflicts on Steam starts, by one party creating a strawman out of the other ;)
Again, I was simply amused by your overrreaction. A totally unnecessary and exaggerated reaction, but also a very innocent one ;) So no worries.

Peace, yeah ?
