Kill all animals you come across and do not let them flee so you get more kills AKA more meat.
Learn to cook, and get your hands on the Salt scoop. it reduces salt cost by 1. meaning all boar and wolf meat can be cooked with no extra cost and it gives more food.
do not bother with armor early on, do not repair unless you really need it. and most of the time you wont need it.
Sell stolen stuff at a fence( at the lake )
make sure you do not waste resources with people in your party who have " drunk " or glutten " and what ever else cost you more to keep them happy.
when you first start out run directly to the prison and buy 3 chains. you can only sell 3 prisonors at a time anyhow so no need to keep more then 3 around,
When you fight outlaws get the hp to less then 50% to open the option to knock them out
this option is only avalible to characters thats not engaged in combat, so unit " A " who is fighting the one you want to catch, cant do it. move unit " B " over into melee range and let him do it.
the chance to catch increases the further down you get enemy hp. careful not to kill them tho.
keep lvl 1 weapons so you can swap to them with your high damage characters, later on you can 1 shot enemies with a good DPS unit, so using a Crap weapon is the only way to make a catch posible.
hope some of this helps.
Regards =)
the only contracts I have left are the trading one (can't afford the pottery), boss (couldn't handle him, thus I got 2 extra team members to train them up and try again) and the tomb (I am a little bis scared to do this one). Oh, and Marheim cobtract, and I can't find a way to get there...
started cooking but salt + meat I am buying right now costs too much... will try hunting, although my last fight with wolves ended badly. Separately, it seems that my game does not respawn fishing spots, so that's another birdie in my face from this game ;D as for armour... how would I win combat if my tank do not have armor? Enemies are ripping my hp like crazy?
I've killed him xP
I mean I know hot to do this, it's just most of the time option doesn not show up, and if it does, GRNGeezus hates me, even if my chance is like 90% ;) separately, I haven't seen outlaws/bandits party in days. Like seriously, can't find any.
quill18 youtube vids they mentioned it sometimes, Anyways yea its nice for single player games like these
I saw someone say not to worry about armor early that's a huge mistake. axe. sword. and brute characters can use light armor from the beginning of the game. the stuff you make blows away any drops or things you can purchase at this point. a superior set of light armor is 22 with at least 2 expansion spots and a +2 movement bonus. you need your targe to have the protection ability. that and rags (12) are at least a step up from the fishing outfit by 4 points. Besides you need to make a few items so you can unlock weapons and armor. one handed weapons are much better for capture than 2 handed. do the mines in Tiltren as soon as possible you should go get chains go to town then clear mines. your tinker can make fish hooks and lock picks which you sell for extra cash. try to equip everyone first. damaged daggers, ring leader daggers, are really helpful in draining opponents so is the poison you can make in the apothecary via bomb or for your blades.
there is no reason to buy any armor or weapons early.
food don't start capturing and fattening up boars until they are 3rd level this way you can have them eat 2 food per rest. don't allow animals to escape. kill everything you don't want to capture.
as long as there are 4 people around the campfire having full bellies isn't going to kill your groups morale . it's better to spread it out and make it manageable if you cant feed everyone. don't buy food unless you absolutely have to, keep booze on hand for "camp conversations just in case".
