Also some of the materials required to make the highest tier equipment can be hard to come by - rimesteel, for example, requires you to get the alzahar powder stuff and grey clusters, which can be bought in gosenburg or mined by a journeyman miner, then you have to craft the rimesteel at an alchemy workshop with an experienced alchemist (don't forget to unlock the rimesteel recipie)
The stuff you need a journeyman blacksmith to make.
That all seems dissapointing imo. Yes the 3 armor layer slots or circles seem nice but i havent found any to be even close to what i buy from the merchants. The merchants ive found better stuff and it has spots for armor layers. 2 so far havent found a merchant that offers a 3 hole armor but I'm mostly lvl 10 and just got a lvl 11 tank tonight in the last tomb.
Maybe the merchants will sell better items now.
I'll look again but..... still really let down when i got journeyman blacksmith,
Or at some late game point you can apply 2 oils to a weapon.
Or some armor that when attacked applied oils to the enemy.
I understand early/mid game content is very important but after all the time this has been out they have to realize some people enjoy late game quests/goals.
They are doing a great job and i appreciate thery cant develop everything at the same time im just throwing it out there for future consideration that lare game needs some love too,
