Multiple professions?
Can you have multiple professions on a character?

Whenever you switch professions, the current one reverts to its minimum XP of its current level.

Nope. Just one. (Unless changed)

Well since you can max them all out and switch freely between them, I don't see how that isn't having multiple professions.

I'd like it if you could then at least keep the static bonus (e.g +3str for a maxed blacksmith) at least. It makes no sense how the benefit is lost to you just because you switched jobs.

Because it is ieasy to max all the jobs. That would make it over powered and every one would play the exact same way so they could get all the stats. Boring.

I would like them to remove the static bonus completely from professions.
At the moment, the only profession worth having in battle is from a companion tinkerer (+5% crit hit) unless you have some units weak in willpower, in which case scholar or angler.
That requires remembering to constantly flip some guys' profession at rest and reassigning them to their profession locked assignments.

I do hope they expand professions once full release hits.

there are no current plans to do this from what i've heard - there is currently one profession still to go but as for taking them to a 'higher level' like master blacksmith, etc... that's not yet in the works/plans.

I wouldn't call +3 to str or +3 to con overpowered, considering the late-game weaponry/armor. I wouldn't mind if the exp caps for the 2nd, 3rd, ... profession would be enhanced. But I do conceed the fact how it could get boring to grind for profession exp.
