Where the hell do I find cloth
So I've looked stuff up trying to find a reliable area to either buy or find cloth and I can't find it I think it's kinda ridiculous that I can find ♥♥♥♥ tons or iron and make fullplate armor but for medium and light armor I'm ♥♥♥♥♥♥ because I can't find any cloth.

Hi. I f I am not mistaken the place to buy cloth is in Vetruse. The Drapery. Steady supply of it. Sometimes roaming merchants sell them. Or can borrow from refugees. Sometimes loot drops when killing bandits. However these are not consistent. Good luck.

I know the problem. The best solution is depending on rng, which I hate. I have no clue why the most basic materials have no reliable source.

Check all random merchants on the roads. It's tedious but it will eventually get you the cloth.

Cloth, Pottery and Amber in Stromkepp.
Gems, Spices and Pelts Cortia.
Spices, Scrolls and Silver in Marheim.
Spices, Pelts and Amber in Garusa.

It's probably one of the easiest materials to find - you'll find them - if not you can purchase them in just about every town that has a merchant in the food purchasing area
Cloth drops from combat are way better than they used to be.
You can find a little bit in a drop point opposite the Tildren Stables, across the road to the North.
It's sold in Vertruse at the Drapery as Rompier02 said.

He is talking about the crafting component cloth, not the tradegood. I came here looking for the same thing...cloth for crafting. It is ridiculously scarce.
The furry white creepers in Alazar drop cloth regularly.

Be aware that this is a resurrected post from August 2022. At present, I am always flooded with cloth, to the point that I can't use it all and have to stash 100+ bolts of it in the travel post,

Evidently, cloth was much more sparse in the initial phases of Early Access. This topic isn't relevant anymore.

In case that someone still wonders where during the release:

- the shabby camp in arthes sells cloth
- the marheim merchant in ventruse sells cloth
- you can get cloth as a drop when you kill/defeat enemies
- you can also buy some at the drapery in ventruse

Problably more places in the meantime I didn't checked yet since I started a new game and deleted my old save.

You just visit every vendor you see, and if they have cloth you buy it. That is how I did it.

Practically everywhere on the merchant each town.

Also sometimes on the blacksmith vendors.

But merchant and the merchants going around on the world map are the most frequent sources for cloth.

It is very abundant once you look it up on those sites.
