but dont take my word on it for im not sure about it
This quest is not optional and must be done for the completion of the region. If it makes you feel better, you do have the ability to kill the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ religious Abbot guy at the end of this mission. Made me feel better at least
How to do it :
1. Help the Abbot from Abbey dont kill him.
2. Go to Vernalis now you can get the recipe then go to Spring Origin bellow the Vernalis Castle to northeast for Sabotage Quest and poison the well after complete the quest you get the message that captain from vernalis hunt you, you can kill them.
3. Go to Laheart do the Black Caravan Quest, after killing Vernalis Captain in Concealed Camp, you can kill the Laheart Captain to take the treasure for yourself.
4. Go to Legion Camp in the west do the Quest The Deserter to kill the deserter 2 times.
After all that you will get Quest from Legion The Fate of Arthes
Was different for me. For me to get the Legion ending:
1/ I went to the Legion camp and hunted deserters for them.
2/ I went to Lord Vernalis’ castle and helped prevent the poisoning of their well.
3/ I went to Lord Leahart’s castle and took the caravan destruction mission, done it, but as a last step had to kill his guy Hostes so he didn’t get money back to his master. It wasn’t the last quest I did, but I suppose from what happened in the next one, sparing him would have implied siding with his master.
4/ Did the Abbott quest from the Saint Eleor Abbey, working for Vernalis. Except at the end I had to kill the Abbott himself, otherwise I got summoned by his master and that was not the goal (uber writing again, congrats devs).
5/ Now that you’ve more or less balanced your a-hattery, you are summoned by the Legion
Your story line at the top should look like this (at least it did for me):
