SpearMan > Spears
Ranger > daggers
Brute > one handed or 2 handed "masse"/Hammers
Warrior > One handed or 2 handed Axes
SwordMan > One handed or 2 handed swords
Brute/Warrior/swordman can carry shields
Brute/Warrior/swordman/ranger can equip other stuff on the right slot (knives, torches, etc...)
I got confused because the Brute had a 2h weapon, so I assumed a claymore would count :/
WARRIOR: Any weapon with an axe-head, single-hand use or a two-hander.
RANGER: knives, daggers, and short swords.
ARCHER: bows (surprise surprise!)
BRUTE: blunt weapons of any kind.
SWORDSMAN: sword, either one-handed with a shield, or a two-hander.
SPEARMAN: any spear-like polearm
Hope this helps!
Again, Developers, you need to provide a DEFINITIVE, Written Tutorial on all of the Game Mechanics, easily accessible within the game.
I have been wasting my time as well wondering: Why can't my Ranger equip a bow, he's level 2, what the heck is going on?
Also, why can't my newly hired Swordsman use a Two-Handed Sword?
These things need to spelled out developers in the game.
Also, how do you change weapons in combat from Range to Melee?
Level discrepancy between weapon and character.
Archers cannot do this, since they can only equip bows.
A swordman should be able to, unless they don't meet the level requirements I believe?
Is that a colossal job for the Devs to be done?
I guess no... but here we all are going almost blindly on it.
When hovering over any weapon/armor we need a pop up as to who can use it AND have it compare to equipped item.
Have ANY requirements clearly be announced BEFORE crafting/stealing/buying for the love of all things Holy !!!
Thank you for your feedback, we'll see what can be done to improve this!
Apologies for the frustration it has caused.

And by the way, number, variety and complexity of the whole bunch of weapons and armors makes it fully justified - imho - to work a separate sheet for both, thus making it clearer their arrangements, upgrades and possibilities. In other words, presenting a neat and clear content should prevail over a standarized form, instead of stuffing it all into a forced 3-wide format as if aesthetics were the main subject to be served and not a truly gentle UI
