Rat plague mission

Hello,

I have a mission where i have to go to a rats lore and kill them, but they are so many that i can't even reach the matriarche.

Am i too low lvl ? (lvl 2/3) or maybe there is something i didn't get about the combat in this quest ?

Too low for that if u ask me. You should have at least 6 men with lv 5 and one archer. some molotov would be great

I agree with Prize Order, I did my first Rat Infestation battle at around lvl 5 with 6 men, kIlling the matriarch first to stop her from spawning more rats is a must, fire works best > torches are easiest. ( on Normal difficulty both for Battle and Simulation)

Done a rat mission on a low level, the trick is to concentrate on the Broodmother and ignore all else. When she dies the rest flee

I have done it likes this, too. With 6 men level 2 or 3. I lost one. So it is harder than a normal fight.

Yes, focus on broodmother. When she dies, the battle is over. Use fire cause she takes a lot of extra damage from fire. You can see that if you click on her. There are also bows that give you a fire arrow arrea of effect skill. One shot and broodmother is half dead. And a couple of rats close to her almost dead too. It's easy with fire.

You can kill her in 2-3 turns if you throw the cocktail fire bomb thingy, and put bleed on her turn 1 with your guys. Then you can leave her alone and spend your time trying to kill the poison stuff for loot.

Thanks for your answers i will maybe wait a little then, but i am struggling with money right now, so can't really buy molotov or other poison stuff :(
My 6 men are lvl 4 or so, but equipement is not that good unfortunatly.

Has anybody managed to kill all 7 pillars for max loot? If so, how?

You get the plague outgrowth sample. It is used to make Pristine Essence.
