What´s the point with camp chest?

I thought it would take weight from you, but it doesn´t. You can put many things on it and still have the same weight on your backpack.

i think its for having a lil bit of order in your inv instead having all mumbo jumbo

it seems to be mainly to separate regular items from stolen items, or un needed items.

I tend to forget using the chest , but you can put regular items in the chest if you want stolen items used first in crafting. Once done pull your regular items out.

I've found it useful in saving weapons and armour for team expansion; this way it prohibits me from selling an item by mistake. And yeah, a bit surprising to begin with seeing as it doesn't reduce travel weight, but then again, should it? There's no magic in this game so it's likely offered for that very reason.

I leave items I want to save in chests around the map so I don't have to carry them around. The chest in the camp just adds extra weight you have to carry.

that's a great idea - but i wonder how long the developers will let that go on without folks getting their stuff stolen ;)

Sure, there is a risk but so far works for me. Only thing is that space is limited so I use multiple chests.

my approach has been to add more horses; got eight now. :( I'm sensing the new area the developers put together (may?) have a food shortage or some kind... I think it'd be cool if they did, would add considerable stress to the logistics part of battle

When I got a 5th Pony free, I found I couldn't buy Horse Shoes for it. I guess, since they can only be as quick as the slowest - all other horse shoes are now redundant. I might as well make Saddle Bags.

I think it should have limited space in your inventory so this way "you have to" build the camp chest if you wanna grab every loot

Worthy doonz... I don't bother, ever, with increased foot speed for ponies - saddlebags are my options for both ponies and wolves/boars, the more I can carry the better; at least for now - next update might change that though.

This makes sense to me, as your camp is mobile. You take your stuff with you at all times. So your inventory is technically a global one? But I can see the confusion, for sure.

It shouldn't reduce weight at all as the group weight is how much junk you have to carry around. Just putting that in a chest isn't going to reduce the weight, you still have to carry that chest. The best way to increase your weight limit is to add animals and equip them with saddle bags.

Depends on the semantics of it. It'd be easier to carry a bunch of stuff in a chest than loose... Even a 10% reduction would be nice for the idea that you cant use it outside your camp.
