Thanks. I'll definitely pick that then.
I've only had one game crash in a lot of hours, but I've not had a bigger party than 10(possibly 11). I find it's hard work getting enough cash for 10, like you really can't relax and explore, because the pressure is on.
Do you know exactly what 'Supported' does. Game doesn't tell you, and I can't find it anywhere.
20% damage reduction as long as your engaged ally is next to 2 non-engaged allies
Thanks for that Romain.
It appears you're the local encyclopedia. I tried looking it up(since the game doesn't say), but I couldn't find it anywhere - even on Wartales Wiki.
You're welcome.
I kinda like to optimize stuff.
Indeed there's nothing about it in the wiki. I'm pretty sure a window pop up the first time it happens though. But You can't read it again once it is closed. (Devs if you read this > TIPS PANEL where is gathered all tutorials is required! It will prevent a lot of question)
You shouldn't struggle with 10 merc. You might want take a look at this guide....

Here's the report about the Ovation Crash. You can vote for it if you bump into some issues.

What's the problem exactly?
Well I try and use them, but can't get any of those - and a few other things to work.
That's what I mean about income pressure. Time is money as they say, and never more true than this game. You can't afford to spend a few days trying to work out how something works(outside of battle). Inside, I don't know. I read what it says and try and do it, but it doesn't work. I'm guessing more likely me than a bug at this stage.
Thanks. I'll try it again.
I'm only just working out what I like and don't like. I don't like the 2 turn weapons much at all - even the one off the Champion guy. My favourite is the whirling dagger with poison - now that does some damage.
I can see you have 9 guys
> 3 of them have basic crafted armor (0% guard)
> 3 of them has starting armor (0% guard)
> 3 of them has starting shield
> They all have starting weapon except the brute with corbin
So basically :
> you spent lot of money in new recruit (instead of raw material/equipement)
> you are paying a lot of wages/food for weak characters.
> and furthermore, because your characters aren't well equipped, you're taking unecessary damage and you are killing enemies a lot slower.
Meaning It will cost you extra money to repair/heal.
You should invest in better equipement ASAP, and before any new recruit. It's fine if one of them don't get a good armor, or a good weapon. But here, it is pretty much all of them.
You're saying you don't have time to wandering around and try things out. I do and I can do it many days without losing money (because you can trade/mine/gather flowers along the way and sell them, and many other things etc)
From my point of view your party is a financial sinkhole ^^
I'm sure you know more than me.
I like to get them early(this is my third playthrough the first area, and I've not done much outside it.
I like to get them to start them getting promoted. At this point, I certainly didn't have money problems - probably had about 800 Krowns there, and it was very early. Taken a lot of prisoners.
I just want to get the party I want asap, even if that's not the best way to play - although, your advice does surprise me.
Not sure how that battle came about, but I do take battles for fun, and see how they turn out. I just did this one. I wouldn't say it went great, but not that bad either. I don't like losing anyone, and I did. I'll probably go back to an earlier save game because of the loss(I'm in a learning phase, so save gaming doesn't bother me right now). I stole the plans to the Drying Rack, and not only guards, but seemingly everything in the game is after you. Anyway, this was outnumbered by mostly higher level guards. It was going worse the only other time I fought guards(Lvl 6 v my lvl 5). At least I did win this one, with one death:

Your comments are most welcome.
:D
You're nearly broke my friend.
+ 80 to heal
+ ~ 40 to repair
+ 20*8 = 160 wages
+ 35food *1.5 gold = 52.5
= at the very least 332 gold
And you have 475... (and few stuff to sell)
You can't beat up the guard with sticks and stones ^^
Few quick stuff :
You can sell 37 flowers * 4 = 148 gold (useless to have more purple ones than the blue ones)
Gather iron and wood, buy leather and crafter 2 other corbin for your brutes
Craft better shields too
Trade all the goods everytime you go back to town (you need 50 carrying capacity ) But you have to have enough cash to do so!
i'm only 19 days in there. I've crafted everything I can with the iron I've managed to get, checking pretty much every trader.
I'm going back to an earlier save anyway. I didn't want to get caught by guards, but since I had - I thought I'd try it.
:)
for the iron, thats the least problem at start. you can visit the one mine for a little influence (saltmine) that you get back after mining all iron in there, and the other startmine normaly will be brought to your attention because of a starting level bounty.
both together provide 5 mining spots (saltmine 2, the other 3) , what means when you are not bad at the easy minigame you end minimum with 5x7 Ore in the worst case. the real startstopper is wood for smithing (ok, i admit my first recipe learned for smithing was the guisame because i done the farmer start, pikemen army for the win)
both mines resoucespots respawn relativ fast.
