How many people can you recruit?

What I mean is, how large can your party be? And how many can go into a single fight, if that is different? Do pack animals take up the same slots as characters?

The pack carrying ponies do not fight. You can switch them to War Ponies.
Bears or Wolves do.

So, I can have 100 guys in my 'party' of adventurers? If we ignore I'd never be able to feed and pay them? There isn't a hard coded limit?

I'm on the fence on buying it. I find the small size limits of games like Battle Brothers to be a bit limiting.

i guess the developers decided to leave the limit to game economics. you have to feed your party and pay the wages. also in free mode the enemy is scaled to match you so the bigger party you have the more enemies you will face.

All replies are correct. If really depends on your computer/specs and also in your ability in management and of course, in your ability to coordinate your party to face your enemies. Depending on your way of playing (Either Free or Region Locked) sometimes you will see its better to keep a small party or to grow it larger, it will depend on your own feeling.

To give you a reference, the maximum companions someone TOLD US (that means, we can't verify if it was true or not) here in the discussion forum so far was 61. Which is a huge number to be honest.

No limit was found so far, unless i missed a new information.

I can tell you I atm have like 18 soldiers, 6 bears, 2 war horses and 2 boars. When I get into a battle it is 28 vs 32 every time. The fights take a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hour sometimes and honestly it's too much to keep track off. Not to mention when you have over like 30 people on Wartales pre made battle areas the game has a good chance to hard crash and corrupt your latest autosave.

Good point - the more you have the slower the game operates - saying that the real answer is depends on how many you can afford, 1, and 2, how many you want to feed...
