Bard profession

I must be missing something cause I can’t seem to find out how to get the bard profession; is it quest given or leaned from npc / camp? Any help is appreciated

you have to find the recipe to craft the lute first. i think it is a random drop. then craft the lute and place it in your camp. it gives you a few new challenges btw.

I ended up getting the lute from an abandoned village in the Marshlands. Something tells me its a set recipe for that specific location, kind of like the bandit camps always have the same recipe just the other loot changes.

i stand corrected. it is not a random drop. it is in a locked chest in the abandoned village.

Damnit, i sold that lute to some unknown merchant... tell me there's more lutes? If the world has only one lute in a specific place that's ridiculous... i can't figure out how to do bard stuff with my bard.

not the same lute, you get a recipe for creating a camp object lute, not the trinket lute.
You could also gain access to the profession by going through the Tiltren tomb, but doing it that way doesn't allow you to sing in taverns until you get the camp object lute

Tiltren ruins, top rooms. It will give you the profession when you try to play for the statue.

Yes but you can't use the Profession without the Lute so what's the point of getting from the Ruins if you don't have the Lute?

Tiltren Tomb basically has a statue in it that is a puzzle and reveals the bard job for you.

You can get the Lute in the abandoned village. I did it very early on. Followed the bandit pass from Tiltren to the clan region. Just avoid engaging everything. You will die here if you engage but the Lute is doable since it is a stealth mission into the deserted village just past the last clan. You'll need pitons, lockpicks, and a thief.

I don't have lute, never had, used Bard only in Tomb when I got it. Lute still missing, never found yet, Bard profession stays

im level 10 twice and i still never got the lute. bard prof should not be an end game profession. let bard be start of game with the lute staying the camp buff item and add a bonus song that makes you more money favor or whatever, but GDI let me be a bard singing in taverns from the start if I wish!

I think they accidentaly added Lyres instead of Lutes to both Vertruse and Arthes.

I was wondering why I was having trouble finding the Lute. That is odd they would lock it behind something like that. That really needs to be a beggining item you can find or at the very least craft.
