That being said, a simple slider would be welcome as any options to give a little more control to the player is always nice.
Hell even a simple way to have their body builds match their role would be welcome. On top of a slider.
I am enjoying watching the gameplay though i will be getting this and they are looking into mod support and steam workshop so you might get your wish either way.
You've got to be joking with these numbers - nobody in the world would be able to fight with weapons that heavy! A longsword weighs a kilo and a half or so, a woman could use it just as easily as any man. For the other two, we're talking maybe 3 kilos or so, I suppose. Maybe women would get tired more easily fighting with them, but they'd have no problem swinging them around.
Shadiversity had a couple of videos on the subject, if you'd like to learn in more detail.
Honestly it must be a pretty embarassing situation when you hanker for "immersion" but suggest ignorantly unrealistic (not to say batsh*t insane) "fixes" for the surprisingly realistic initial work.
And to address the thread's main point: I've not had that experience with the game at all. My party was all-male from the start, and maybe a quarter or so of enemies and/or potential recruits were female, which I think is perfectly reasonable. I actually did kind of laugh when I saw some female enemies wielding these pretty ridiculous warhammers (the class is called "raiders", I think?), but they're pretty ridiculous when wielded by males too, women wielding them just underscores it. However, I guess it is realistic in that this class is literally not a threat and you can kill a whole party of them without them landing a single strike?.. With that kind of weaponry, that's the expected result.
for real now, you belong to the sort of people who want "historical accuracy" in their game but then expect to find a "big, strong and battle-scarred berserker" right around the next tavern, lmao xD.
Longswords, battleaxes or hammers being 8-15kg heavy :D? Man, maybe you should learn something about history first before asking for more historical accuracy.
Distortion of science? It's in their own world with it's own lore and rules, it's not a "science backed game" or some nonsense. They can do whatever they feel is appropriate to their game world. Perhaps due to the war and other events a lot of the men have already died and so you see more women struggling to survive on the road.
News flash: We women can use weapons. We are also able to beat men in mixed-sex sword fight competitions. Not to mention archery.
Ever held a sword for show fights? I did. A longsword. It was pretty light and well balanced, which made it easy to hold. The rest is a matter of training and fitness.
