RHEM III SE

RHEM III SE

Thank you Knut!
I've postponed playing Rhem 4 SE as I want to play in sequential order, so it's like getting 2 games to play at once! Just want to show appreciation for all the hard work you put into your series! A joy to play thanks!

Same here! I followed Knuts website and observed he hadnt added any concerts for quite some time so I had hopes it was because rhem iii was being finished. And lo and behold it is finally here! Just like you I also waited with Rhem IV in my library for quite some time.

And here I was thinking I was the only one! Great minds think alike I guess! These types of games are great for meditating I find, makes me forget all the chaos in the real world. Happy adventurin'!

However... where's the game?

I think this happened before when Rhem II SE got released, I was looking forward to it today but hopefully tomorrow?

I played Rhem III regular edition many times and I am truly looking forward to the SE version and new areas. If this is going to be your first time, you guys are in for a ride! This game is a spectacular collection of mind-bending puzzles (so are other Rhem games). I really hope that we get a Rhem V at some point.

It was all a joke. Rhem III SE does not exist. The screenshots in the store page are literally everything that has been produced in the last year

Regarding Rhem V Knut has plans for it, and the good part is that he will be able to modernize the technology used for it instead of relying on Adobe Director and a 39485394 years old rendering program.

Hey guys! Just to give you a heads up, Rhem is most likely undergoing the Steam review process so it will come out in a day or two (hopefully in time for the weekend). I know this because there was another game I've been waiting for that was "released" on the 16th but ended up displaying the "coming soon" message, it now has a new date of the 19th March instead.

Good to know, thank you.
Still struggling with the second one anyway.

Dear Friend, Knut speaking: Sorry for the delay. We had to send RhemIIISE again though the Steam-Test. It's approved since today. That means the earliest release is march 25th. I can't change the old march 17th on the shop-page, because it's item filled automatically from VALVE (not correct at the moment). So, thanks for you patience and you loyalty since so many years.
Before I finish a little anectode: Three day ago I played a final test of RhemIIISE without (too many) helping notes. I came to a door I could not open. I fact I had no idea from where this door could be activated. I searched in the remaining floor, in the floor below, in the floor above...nothing. I got really mad about the game designer ;-) I could not remember and could not solve this puzzle, I had to look into my own notes. In the end the solution was quit logical and was written down on a page of a book of the secret library. So, please don't be get frustraded if you stuck sometimes. Even I can get lost in my own puzzles...
All the best to you, health and a soon release of RhemIIISE, Yours Knut

Thank you for your message! I've decided to replay the first two Rhem games and I have next week off work, so I'll be off on some grand adventure! Actually there is something I would like to ask... in the "extra" sections of Rhem II and I think also Rhem I? Where you collect the medallion pieces there are some puzzles that cannot be solved yet, I'm guessing I will come back to them in either Rhem III, IV and/or V?

Dear CrimsonShinobi, regarding your question about unsolvable puzzles in the SE-parts and/or in the regular parts of the Rhem-areas: The unsolvable puzzles are all connected to the "starkey".
http://www.mueller-knut.de/starkey.jpg
This are transitions or passages (or have to do with them) between the Rhem-areas. So in fact the Rhem-areas are connected and the starkey opens this passages.

I remember now! I forgot about that keyhole, the first time I saw it I was worried I was missing some kind of Easter egg or something (as I already had the medallion), but when I saw that keyhole again in Rhem II I realised that I would be revisiting those areas. It's good to know for sure though!

On a side note, I would like to recommend a free game series called Quadrax (just put into Google), it's hard but very rewarding when you solve a level, seeing as we all love a good puzzle I thought I would share!

Edit: Actually just putting Quadrax in Google isn't that great, just go to:
http://quadrax3.wz.cz/

Quadrax IV and up has an English translation, although a bit broken.

The post from Knut regarding the starkey gets my hopes up about a possible Rhem V. I believe nothing in the world can make me happier than getting to play a brand new Rhem game one day.

That is great news! Since SE versions took so long I wasn't sure if hew was still working on Rhem V.
