How about you make a play-through and post it to youtube if it works so perfectly on yours? Then us others with W10 pcs can just watch it since we can't play it.
I own the game on Uplay, not steam. And no, there is no issue with my pc. It runs flawlessly, and has played hundreds of other games perfectly, from older classics to modern AAA. Smoth as glass. Its the game.
It's been a few months since I decided to play Cold Fear so I don't remember everything exactly. But it does seem familiar that the game required some tweaking to get it to work properly. It's an old game so a person should expect that. But I can guarantee, along with many other people, that the game does work.
From what you've explained in the first post, it sounds like maybe some video driver problems. As for the controller, I wouldn't recommend using one. You can get one to work but it's a bit of a hassle trying to do so and I would say that the mouse and keyboard works better anyway.
Sure, Sure fanboy. What ever you say. An Intel/Nvidia pc that runs all other games with no issues, except for this one single game...yeah, it's gotta be the computer's fault. Maybe your pc is just old enough to run this pile of crap game.
Works completely fine for me.
Here you go then, played and recorded on Windows 10:
