Bartholomew fetch quest time out after 2 actions?

Bartholomew asked me to grab some medicine herbs, poison plants, and liquor. Bought liq from the shop and then went scavenging and it turns out the first scavenging run gave me both herbs and the poison plants. Immediately went back to Bartholomew only for him to tell me I took too long... I only took 2 actions to acquire all 3 items and he still says it was too slow so how tf are you even supposed to do this quest? Just have the items prepared before you talk to him? That seems kind of jank

Hello, all kind and sweethearted people around the world?
I have exactly the same problem with the Bartholomew quest. First I need the bottle of liquor. Is the only way to obtain it from the camp shop? That is, I need endlessly reroll the shop items and reload the game until this 1001 times damned liquor at least appears? Or is there any simpler way?
