LowLevelFatalError [File:D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\D3D12Util.cpp] [Line: 903] hr failed at D:\build\++UE5\Sync\Engine\Source\Runtime\D3D12RHI\Private\Windows\WindowsD3D12Viewport.cpp:192 with error 8000000A 0x00007
No idea what this is. As soon as I go to launch the game, it closes out, with this error. Any idea what this means? Everything is up to date.

Hi swampfox159, unfortunately this is a known issue with games based on UE.

Here is a list, please go through it: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1524630/discussions/0/4429940134629196480/

You can also try to start with Dx11, unfortunately Dx11 has a slightly worse performance in this game.

I've done all of that already. I still can't figure out why I can't play games using DX12, when according to my system information, I have DX12 on my computer. Farm Sim 22 is the
same way. Have to use DX11.

Can you give me your hardware data? Graphics card model for example.

EDit: Have you executed this file “UEPrereqSetup_x64.exe” once? This will ensure that all important components are installed.

You shouldn't have any problems with the GTX1070Ti, I think something is missing in your system or a program is interfering which is preventing it from starting or causing the problem. This is usually the most common cause of this message.

I have no idea. I'll eventually buy a new computer, and maybe I can play it then

Yes, the problem with UE LowLevelFatalError is unfortunately widespread.

But there are also numerous solutions that can be found on the Internet. Unfortunately, I cannot say whether they always bring the desired success.

So, after going through 5 hours of different options to solve the low level fatal error, and spending $500 on a new GPU and 32 Gigs of memory, I still get the low level fatal error. I am at my wits end on this as well as a couple tech people.

Hi swampfox159, the LowLevelFatalError isn't necessarily hardware-related; it can be caused by various issues like other programs, graphics drivers (whether old or new), or Windows-specific problems. Unfortunately, there's no definitive solution since the causes are so varied. Some users have found that using '-dx11' or checking the .NET Framework helps. In some cases, reinstalling Windows might be necessary. There are many discussions online about this issue, but a final solution hasn't been found yet.

You can also check the following: Select 'Start' in Windows, and type 'dxdiag' in the search box on the taskbar. Choose 'dxdiag' from the results. Here, you can view the details and verify if DirectX 12 is available.

the fatal error came from overclocking or undervolting , i had same error and it came from oc and uv , it can also a runtime issue try all in one runtime google it , and renew dx 12 and 11 , the game runs fine on me no isues nothing but the engine is very picky with oc and uv and runtimes it will resuklt in such crashes

you can see it also in relabilty monitor windows search typ relaiabilty check last crash , theres you can pin point it what it causes its mostly oc uv or runtime and drivers , its not hte devs fault its the engines fault or issue with oc uv drivers !

and check your pagefile make it bigger and check your ram it can also be a faulty module on your ram stick it can run fine to an point just say if you fill 32 gb to 24gb up it runs fine but do you get above 24 it can crash due to a faulty ram module on your ram kit but not with windows tools use a linux variant just google ram tester there is one , this can be used with a usb stick test time is 8 hrs or single 1 if you use single ram stick
