U-Boat-Mission doesn't run on Windows 10

obwohl ich im "Steam"-Modus bin, läuft mein U-Boat-Mission Spiel nicht! Jedes mal werde ich auf eine andere Grafik-Auflösung hingewiesen, die sich aber nicht einstellen läßt und wenn Bernhard Unfal in See stechen will kommt das Spiel nicht zustande und verbleibt auf dem Anfangs-Entscheidungs-Punkt.....

There are many older games that have issues with DPI scaling on Windows 10, like this one, Silent Hunter 3, B-17 the Mighty Eighth, etc. To fix this find where the game is installed and find the executable for the game. Right click, open properties, then click the compatability tab. You should see and option for "Change high DPI settings." When you click this you get a new menu and at the bottom there should be a box where you can tick "Override high DPI scaling behavior." After that click apply and try launching the game directly from the .exe. Some games Steam will keep automatically resetting this if you use the "Play" button on Steam, others will not. In my case for instance this game was fine but B-17 always resets.

I hope this is understandable after translating and also that it helps others having this problem.

I had SILENT HUNTER 4 & SILENT HUNTER 4 U BOAT before downloaded from STEAM. However by accident I deleted SILENT HUNTER 4 U BOAT MISSION. Now what I see as I click from the icon on my desktop on the first page as the game comes on is SILENT HUNTER 4 on both saying SILENT HUNTER 4 U BOAT MISSION, but only get SILENT HUNTER 4 in game play. Anyone have an idea? I have also checked verification on both games with no results.

If you deleted the Uboat missions you need to reinstall them.

worked for me - the DPI box was already checked - I think starting from the root folder is the key here. Danke!

This game is only available in English.
You must install it with the english version in the language setting.

After installed , the u-boat missions works normally.

Silent Hunter 4\Data\Cfg\Main.cfg => find this file in computer game folder, edit the resolution smaller a bit than your pc resolutuion. Example below, my laptop is 1920 X 1080 recomended, so i edit the "Main.cfg" file to the resolution=1920,1060; successfully loading the game without error.
