If we were gonna get a good Stargate game it would have been when the show was popular still. Not this mobile looking game thingy out of nowhere. I say this as a Stargate nerd.

Its better to kill way better and more detailed game like Stargate Network, so you can have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ mediocre game. MGM and Amazon logic lol

Suits in these companies seems to be extremely incompetent and blind.

Stargate fanbase is still big (though slowly dwindling as time passes). Perfect time to reactivate this popular franchise. Wait another 10-20 years and only few fans will remain.

I said this before; good MMORPG (like Stargate Network) or action RPG (like Mass Effect) could work and would sell well (with proper marketing campaign).

They could also finally greenlight that new Stargate TV Series that Brad Wright/Joseph Malozzi proposed few years ago and release a new proper Stargate game some time after that TV series to boost sales.

A few years ago they could have just slapped some Stargate paint on X-com, called it a day and walked away with a great game and money in the bank but nooo...MGM is run by morons.

Seriously that franchise is almost already Stargate as it is. Based on their record and the fact that they are still alive as a business I'm guessing MGM only exist for dodgy tax-evasion reasons.

i'm sorry i have to say this, but the best thing we can look forward to is games that allow modding and build our own stargate game as the result and many have been created already, most aren't really ideal, but they offer something at least, but when you compare them to this, they suddenly become a better alternative.

there was a fan made point and click adventure game, it was pretty good for what it was.
it's not very long but it did have the main characters from sg-1.

i don't care about clicker, side scroller, real time strategy stuck in the top down view gameplay, or turn based combat games, these are all literally worthless designed games that only appeal to mobile game audiences, i wouldn't be caught dead playing any of these on my PC lol.

Your missing out man. Some of the best games are turn base combat games.

Like fallout.

i play fallout but in either 1st or 3rd person, i will never play something that low quality, unless it's the 1980s or if i where to lose my gaming PC and i only have my phone to play games on.

i once saw a free copy of that fallout game on the google play store and i almost considered it, they were using an illegal copy of the game and worded the name of the game differently to get away with it, i can't remember how it was worded and i doubt i could find it again even if i tried.

They're doing this with a lot of old video games these days. Slap on new sprites and call it a different game lol

i agree, everything is copy and paste and slap on or paint over the previous game and name it something else, this is essentially what exogate is to this game, it's roughly the same thing but maybe slightly better, now again i don't care about games like this at all, but that game does appear to be a better stargate game even though it's not stargate lol.

anyway about your Anubis comment, i wish the show didn't end his story, to me it was too soon and i really wanted to see where his story was headed fully, don't get me wrong i did like the shows story, but i feel the way they handled his story to end it was a bit of a copout, i mean fighting Oma for an eternity of never ending combat, seems like a poor excuse to end the story arc on.

i suppose it could also be picked up on at a later date, but i know the show has been off air for a decade straight, so i doubt very much that will ever happen anyway with all the other loose end stories in the show that never went anywhere.
