Bug in Blue World <spoilers>

I got to blue world. Dude took my stuff. I ran through and bought my stuff. I had to save the game. When it loaded in, the dude took my stuff again. This is AFTER I had gone through and gotten the coins. There are now no coins. I need the purple drop block to change the crystal color, but the dude re-took my purple block and my triple jump.

Am I missing something? I have nothing else purple, and nothing in the world that I can get to is purple to change the color.

Bug in the game or bug in my head?

I assume this is for the original Supraland? What platform / storefront are you playing?

You should not have your stuff taken twice. You'll need to load a backup save from the main menu to before when that happened.

I got it via the Xbox game app. I'm on a PC. I didn't know there was a 2nd one. Thats awesome. Can't wait to play that! Really enjoying the puzzles of the game.

Where is your FAQ located? I'd love to check that out. I couldn't find any save files anywhere in the appdata folder. I only have the choice in the game to reload that one save spot, unless there is a secret menu?

GamePass stores its save files in a different / obscure place.
Supraland on Gamepass doesn't have a backup menu. It does make periodic backups, but Windows Cloud completely obfuscates the files.

The recovery process is not easy.

Here each folder represents a file we save from the game
Sort your folder by the latest date modified
I'd recommend backing up the whole folder
Then, Make sure the game is running before changing these files (otherwise Windows cloud might overwrite them next time you launch the game)
in one of those folders might be your old save
In each folder has a

container.2

file. Ignore these
some folders will have small files that are like 1-10 kb These are other data files we store. Ignore that.
When you find a file that is over 50kb, probably in the hundreds for a lategame save. That is a save file or backup
The Most recently saved one is probably your current save.
The further back you go are other save slots or backups.
When you find one, you can copy it over your latest save file in its folder. and then try to play it in game (Ignore the in-game save-slot preview, it wont update until you play.)

I tried that. I tried a couple of different things. I was able to find the files you were talking about. I backed up that entire directory.

When I copy any files from an old backup to the new folder, it starts the game over.
I tried just the large file with lots of HEX in the name that is 351kb. It restarted the game from scratch and loaded me into the very beginning of the game with 0 hours.
I then tried to copy the container.2 file along with the larger file. It restarted the game from scratch and loaded me into the very beginning of the game with 0 hours.

Anything else you can think that I might try?

One more note. I just restored the entire wgs directory. The load screen showed I had the progress I had. When it loaded, it starts me back from the beginning with nothing. FYI.

Are you doing this while the game is running? It needs to be, otherwise when you open the game it might pull cloud files back down.

Yes, I'm doing it when the game is running. I did it before I hit 'Play' and also while looking at the screen with the saved game.
