Frustrating lava 3 rings

Since the update, you can't drop the cube from a height which the current play throughs on youtube show, and trying to balance the cube on a force beam is an exercise in frustration. The official 'answer' to the puzzle is to balance the cube at the top ring (?) according to the devs but it's near impossible to do it as far as I can tell. Can anyone share a spoiler, screenshot or video, of them solving it in action?

The correct solution is to balance the cube on the bottom ring. It should be much easier that way.

Is this the puzzle that opens the door to the heart with the ribs? If so, this is a really finicky and frustrating to do. I eventually did it, but not fun.

Thanks Ben, that was it.

For those wondering, balance the cube above the lower ring using the power beam, then use mag to float to top of 2 rings, press and hold to deploy cube, release beam and then release hold for cube to fall through other 2 rings.

The power beam refuses to stay when I try to balance the cube on it. Cube touches it, it disappears. ♥♥♥♥ is super janky.

Easiest way to do it, is to set up the force beam, then stand on the beam above the lower ring, then look down at your feet and release the force cube that should guarantee successful placement.
