. Lot of action and in general a good game with Mickey mouse. Similar other 3d platformers games like most Sonic games at relase date like SONIC GEENRATIONS X SHADOW that releases in 2 weeks and SONIC FRONTIERS in 2022(iget all sonic games on release date as iam big eggman fan sicne 1994 when i played sonic 1 at 7 years old,) also cost 60.
Mickey Mouse is a lot more populat than sonci because generations and generations grew with him as he exists since 1940. So why woudlnt his games also cost 60 at release date?
I say again that iam surpsied that it didnt sell so well as it should.
But Diseny is a huge company and they have unlimited money. Iam sure that the money that they paid the purple dragons to make it are less than the money they made from the sales untl now even if they werent as high.
its almost like 60 was a dumb idea.
$60 covers the raw development plus R&D phases of a brand new game. This game didn't have R&D, which is a large part of the cost of a new game. This $60 price tag smells of a clueless Disney exec thinking of how to squeeze out the most dollars from nostalgia and fans happy to make excuses for them rather than proper value calculation.
brand new camera to fix the crap old one
new models/textures to make the game visible
new content
preservation
like just because it's a game that has existed in another form in the past it isn't devalued. Unlike most games released today, this is actually worth the price.

Sequels happen when there are enough sales of the title and sales happen when customers feel they are paying an appropriate price for the product. It is clear the devs put in their effort but Disney overpriced the game as it factually underperformed as linked above. Supporting overpriced games is not sustainable for the industry and should not be justified just in the name of getting more entries, especially for a company treating customers like ignorant idiots ready to bend over backwards for their whims.
Imagine what could have been if it sold at that price as MSRP lol.
Yeah and it's also possible some of the people defending the crazy base price are paid shills trying to gaslight customers. Wouldn't be the first time these companies try things like this.
In another 6 months, it could go on sale for $15, that's 75% off.
