Charging $60 bucks for a 14 year old game is insane

Expected 30 or maybe even 40 but charging a full price of a game that came out 14 years ago with the same gameplay intact and slightly updated graphics is not it.

They are crazy to think this game will sell well with that price.

yes it's worth it the game was completely remade from scratch when you play the demo you'll notice that the story and the locations come from the old game but I, who have played this game so many times, really enjoyed it even though I would have liked it to be darker

Yes & no. To some people this charge is a non-issue either way. Is it worth it? Maybe not, but the sum of money is still tiny to some.

Im fine with the new devs getting income from it, they did work on it...But the entirety of the game was already there. Its not like they did the full storyboard or anything.

I don't see what the complaint is. You have options here. 1) Go play the original. 2) Wait for the inevitable sale. You can play the game for a fraction if you just wait a year.

in marketing, sometimes you just balance out the prices. consider clothing: you use different amounts of fabric for different sizes but it would feel unfair to charge the bigger person more money than the smaller guy for the same thing in a different size so they set a fixed price for all sizes to account for that. Video games are the same way. Some games cost more to make than others but people don't want to keep just paying more and more money year after year as the tech gets better and more money is invested in making good new games so the price has settled to $60 for new games, generally speaking in the current landscape and they'll make business decisions with that in mind.

This is the correct answer. Honestly, I don't understand why some people think that just because something is "old" it should be cheap.

The price is set, you either buy it or move along, your complaint is equivalent to whining about buying a new 400 dollar blender or car or whatever that works the same as 10 years ago, A car just takes you to places but you buy a benz, a blender just blends but you pay 400 dollar for one, ♥♥♥♥ upgrades, price points set and then it goes on sale.

Go find the old one or take the new one and move on with your life or even wait for a sale, bickering around the price point is a waste of time and noone really cares, its just you trying to reflect yourself on a thread.

There's people who buy pictures of a box painted from famous artist for over millions of dollars ffs, this is a 60 dollar game, its not much for someone who works if you realy do work, This would be no problem, if it is then your job isn't paying you enough time to find a new one.

Don't buy it, wait for a sale or buy it off cheaper options, you don't have to buy it off steam since its just one of many legit retailers.
