remake or remasterd?

i never played the original, and i absolutley want to play this, but i don't understeand if is a straight remasterd, or a remake... someone know?

I see too what are you try to saying and so technically you are right... But the here the practice makes a lot... Practically is still a remastered, and a new engine is a new thing, and a remastered has only updated things, if it has new things is a remake... Kind of... If it has only few new things then is still a remastered... Because this new things are there just for the purpose of taking a old thing and add a modern feeling... While a remake doesn't take an old thing, it create another one with the same story and main events... Like resident evil 4 remake has not taken the original, it just create something very different... But if you take the og, you updated the graphics even on new engine and you even modify the weapons in the aspect and add like another type of enemy to exaggerate, but the other things are exactly the same... Then people will say it's remake but is remastered... So a remastered can have 3 or 4 changes and new things to original... While a remake doesn't even take the original, it just create a completely new base...

Sure I can dig it. I still prefer remake but you make a lot of sense so we can go with remaster.

No this is a remake of the original Disney Epic Mickey (although some people would call it more of a remaster, as it follows the same story and uses mostly the same gameplay, but rebuilt in an entirely different engine).

can someone who played the original answer me if the the levels are the exact same or not since the new trailer came out!... no, that's the answer... i have to wait the youtube comparision video after the game is out i get it

It's a remake. Go watch some side by side videos on Youtube. It's a remake and not just a remaster that was upscaled and/or has higher resolution textures. They actually had to remake the game but it looks like they kept most things pretty close to the original. You really need to watch a side by side video to understand what I mean.

Honestly this is the way a remake should be done. It's not a "re imagining" type of remake but a remake that is much closer to how the original game was. It's highly likely this remake will have a much better camera than the original. That was one down side with the original Epic Mickey game. You would often have to fight with the camera while you played.

i played the original. this is a remake because they have added new moves and new quality of life changes. they even redid some level props and setpieces, so its harder to fall off into pits and stuff.
