How to install Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII on PC after its delisting (Now with crude basic controller support)

Ok well if you don't want to watch the video read below

First things First you could get blazing angels 1 on PC for quite awhile after delisting but it had no sound or cinamatics, yesterday i made a breakthrough and was able to restore cinamtics and soundtracks.

I have made this as easy as possible so all files to run the game have already been put together for you.

you want to download this file and unzip it.
The installer was meant for win XP so it wont work so if you want to run the game you have to go to Bin and run MainR.exe.

You can exit here but im not, im going to show some stuff you can do to make your experience better. Ok your folder needs to be named exactly this Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII so copy and paste that as the folder name. copy or move it to your steam library.

So now go into steam and add non steam game to library and find Blazing angels in your steam library folder and add the MainR.exe program. ̶Y̶o̶u̶ ̶c̶a̶n̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶ ̶c̶u̶s̶t̶o̶m̶i̶z̶e̶ ̶y̶o̶u̶r̶ ̶b̶l̶a̶z̶i̶n̶g̶ ̶a̶n̶g̶e̶l̶s̶ ̶s̶t̶e̶a̶m̶ ̶p̶a̶g̶e̶.̶ ̶i̶ ̶g̶o̶t̶ ̶t̶w̶o̶ ̶p̶h̶o̶t̶o̶s̶ ̶l̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶i̶s̶ ̶h̶e̶r̶e̶ ̶:̶ ̶h̶t̶t̶p̶s̶:̶/̶/̶d̶r̶i̶v̶e̶.̶g̶o̶o̶g̶l̶e̶.̶c̶o̶m̶/̶d̶r̶i̶v̶e̶/̶u̶/̶1̶/̶f̶o̶l̶d̶e̶r̶s̶/̶1̶6̶j̶j̶D̶0̶e̶q̶f̶K̶Y̶d̶X̶f̶z̶y̶V̶R̶e̶B̶H̶e̶1̶a̶U̶R̶L̶S̶v̶v̶x̶R̶W̶

Now that you got those 3 photos you want to right click MainR.exe in steam select properties and replace the photo with the black line with Game sidebar logo.jpg also you can rename your game to Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII or right click on the backround and set a custom logo, the original game logo is included in the zip file of edit 3, it is called Game Backround.PNG. when out of the properties menu right click on the black backround and set custom backround and pick Game Backround.PNG
after that your blazing angels steam page should look nice.

To change setting to want to get into your blazing angels folder and open settings application.exe it will open. don't click high since thats only 720p so manually change your resolution just set everything to the max. my settings a re 1920 x 1080 60hz and X8.

After doing that everything should be in check and you can start playing

Edit 4: I've been told there is a way to get controller support for blazing angels but it is very crude and doesn't work that well. if you go into the settings exe and configure joystick 1. It'll take inputs from your controller and you can customize them to your liking. You can't use both triggers at the same time, so no shooting and locking on unless you use some odd keybind and going both up/down and left/right at the same time doesn't work, so for proper manuvering, you'll need left/right on one stick and up/down on another, which is really hard to do, so either slightly crippled manuvering or harder controls.

My Display is small and the controls wont work.
You have to change the resolution in the settings application. which is explained at 18:40

When i open the game its just black.
You have to hold Alt & Tab to get out of the game and click back in, and the game should start.

Is This a Virus?
No it isnt, i and many others have run the game through diffrent antiviruses.

I Remember diffrent cutscenes and character voices.
Yeah, The PS3 and Wii had a more upgraded version of Blazing Angels which had diffrent cutscenes and character voices.

currently no since this is a rip and since the controller compatible version can only run on win xp i tried getting it to work on win 10 but broke my hard drive trying so i doubt it will happen anytime soon so simply no not currently

Well thanks man, I also tried my logitech extreme 3d pro controller which almost works except it registers moving the joystick as buttons instead of actual axis (except twisting, oddly enough) any way to fix that? I'd assume not if a PS4 controller doesn't work but I thought I may as well ask

you see this is a repack for the game to work on windows 10. there is 3 versions of the game which is 1.0, 1.01, 1.02. 1.02 supports controller like ps3 etc i believe a ps4 controller could work on BA1 but since this repack is based around 1.0 there is no controller support but there is some joystick support.

i highly doubt that as i have run it through many antiviruses and all have came back negitave. i use this game myself and it worked fine for me. i wouldnt be suprised if the software is vurnable since its the launch game of 2006

so, what happened to version 1.02? Also I remember the game starting with some voice clips from the main character, not joe, how odd. Granted, I've only played the PS3 and arcade version, the arcade version not having any story, and my ps3 being long broken.
