Insane difficulty/No info about difficulty
This game UNPLAYABLE. Every new day mobs grow stronger. You not. You die a lot. And left so several, thet can`t even do any progress. Developers idiots, who can`t do good progression for casual players. Very disappointed. GAME BROKEN!!! DON`T BUY IT!!!!

Goblins dying is part of the game. However, I've done several runs so far and haven't lost any. Difficulty is fine for me.

Did you start fight whith 6 halfing every have 50 hp, damage 11-13 each and have in 2 times more speed then you? I bet no.

Are you expecting a story mode, or what?

Did that fight and more, it's very doable. The battles truly need you to be careful and mitigate damage and read what certain effects do.
It's not casual though, thats true. But while the game certainly has issues ... difficulty isn't one I'd agree with.

What? I have done like 20+ runs and wasn't even close to losing single one... I was say it is quite opposite as game is incredible easy.

3 Guards plus whatever you want is your easy mode

Lol, you obviously don't know how to breed the Goblins.

I think difficulty is fine. It can be brutal, but not in such a way that you cannot manage. You will loose a goblin here or there, but that is why you breed new ones! :)

It is fun to find the good combinations of stats and party classes that let you win more.

I agree with the OP, day 1 is easy enough and I though day 2 wouldn't be too much different but I was wrong. Tasked with building the barrack I thought I could spend the day gathering more resources from the same map. What awaits me is a mid boss mob that brought 2 of my gob to mortal wound, then the next mob killed one of them, then the next mob killed the other one, then the next mob had a bunch of spiders that focus fired on my shaman bringing it from near full health to mortal wound and then death, then the last boss mob killed my remaining 3 guys. Totally not fun

Goblins dying is a good thing. The best way to get souls without retiring. Take a peon with you and have him get killed towards the end of the map hes good a taking a few hits and his job is to manipulate the orders with stuns and shoves

I can't wait until some of you fight the Barkeep round 2. That fight is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Sounds like people need to get good ... but what's new. Make sure to breed new goblins and keep improving your base/stats/weapons/etc. I have only had a couple fights that were rough due to the build I was running, but nothing I haven't been able to recover from. Goblins dying or retiring is part of the game, so it isn't the end of the world.

I see there is a "handicap" section on mission completion, I wonder if difficulty is something they are looking at in the future.

Try facing up against 4 ghouls who all start out doing the groan... that's 15 damagex4 = 60 damage tunneled against your goblins from that point onward... try not losing any under THOSE conditions... this is on day 3 mind you... not getting any decent gobo's at the camp too... and not "this one is meh" nah man... I mean the goblins that have 1, 1, and 4 in stats because they get traits like -3 body +1 mind combined with -3 mind + 1 body...you can't even class those up with 5 being minimal requirements

Update: Well there goes run 3... I ended up with goblins with 10 max hp (WITHOUT mortal wounds) that dished out a whalloping 10 damage on crits. No classed goblins at all on my final day.... At least in Darkest Dungeons you can build around your weaknesses... in this game RNG can just ♥♥♥♥ up your game with no hope of you recovering from that. Is there a record for bottom barrel rolls? I have 1 goblin who has a whopping 5 (!!!!) max hp... this HAS to be a bug

The game is not that hard with base difficulty. You look at what you are going to fight. Hunters if you see beasts, bleeds for high heath values. Acolytes if you face undead and so forth. You can run earlier areas more then once to get resources. You can look at the map and choose safer paths or look for ability upgrades and black smiths. Early on getting souls by sacrificing goblins for souls or retiring them so you can unlock more abilites. When you rescue goblins usually one has a higher stat distribution and one will have more different genes the farther you go in the game. So when breeding its important to transfer genes over to those higher baseline stats goblins then you can breed higher stat value golbins with better genes.

Provided you get goblins with at least 5 in a stat... otherwise, like I said, you're ♥♥♥♥♥♥
