That here is definitely not true. The developers, Kalla Gameworks, communicate with the players on daily basis, mostly on their Discord server (https://discord.com/invite/vtP8JBB) but here on Steam as well.
Regarding the reported bugs, they are already being worked on and the patch with the fixes will be released as soon as it's ready to go.
And personally I dont care about discord or whatsoever. The game is sold here not there.
Lack of communication? The developers are responding to almost every discussion thread here on Steam and on Discord, now they probably just took a short time off, not a surprise since the development had to be hard as hell. Also, complaining about lack of communication and then ssaying "i don't care about discord or whatsoever" is hypocritical AF. You're basically saying "I want them to communicate but I refuse to go to the places where they communicate".
Freezes? They have already shared that they made a fix for that issue and that they will share it via the next patch. You would know that if you followed them on Discord.
EDIT: typos
For the record I did go to the discord to share my save file to help resolve the bug. That being said you shouldn't have to follow a 3rd party app to get updates on a gamebreaking bug. It's not hypocritical at all, we bought the game here, we should be able to get updates here.
Regardless, this bug has been over 3 weeks now, and given how it softlocks games it's very disappointing that it's still not resolved. I understand development takes time, and it’s a small team etc but not being able to play the product for 3 weeks is a big issue (Im not risking starting a new game where the issue might happen again)
I've been watching their discord and have seen NOTHING relating to the fix lol
