It is a simple here as it is for SH4. So really, the controller is pointless here even for a healthy person. SH5 may be a little differnt, in that game it is more so fps, so I can kinda of see it in there, but the controller may not work.
After all, the PS4/X-box controller is over rated. The dev useing that as a altimant controller are small time or steam dev that made their games on laptops were they merit best, and asume since they do, everyone else dose too.. Which is not the case...
But you can remap the controller with pc Programms like joy2key
Which which I also could map the mouse to a stick but I wanted to ask if anyone got maybe a thought to that or maybe even mapped things like depth control to one stick
Means the function on the joystick that uses the same function from the mouse is shared. Joysticks are shared mouse resorce with more functions. PS4 and X-BOX controllers do not, they are a differnt unit all togeather. Not much shares the same mouse or keyboard resorce. You have to experiment that yourself.. And if you know that to, what was the real reason of the post then..
and you know there are programms like i said joy2key which assing a button press on the gamepad a specific function like a spacebar press or the right stick movement for accerlating the mouse to the right... and i didn't asked for a programm i asked if anyone already tried it and can recoommned in which way (because like i already said you can map it in every way the controller is able to) its the best way for them for silent hunter
If you enjoy the 360 controller that much, then it is a "YOU" thing. If you can't find a mod that already has this, then make one. In the the silent hunter directory is the main data files, here is the info dbase files to make the game work, go into the data file folder, look for the cfg folder and go there. Then find the files Commands_de or Commands_en. make a copy of the one that your set to. Then use a text editor and go through it. This is were the controls are mapped. If you know what the code layout for the controller is, do your changes there and see if it works. If it works without issues, put it up as the first mod for the controller ref this game..
I do not know what else to say to you regarding this but that...
1) i only cant use a 360 controller currently and
2) i already get a method to map my Controller... i asked if anyone gpt expiercience with it and can give me a hint which controlls he mapped to which buttons to play as effecient as possible....
@Hare because silent hunter is a pc game isn't it?
Here...
Go to the subsim fourms, ask around there. Maybe they know, Subsim fourms are so dedacated to Silent Hunter, that the entire game series literly lives there. They been around like forever, I even think there is a wiki on them, so they are not a run of the mill type fourm that just came out. They very good at keeping up to date with many things or issues besides the mods. If what your talking about is possable, maybe there is some one there who may know what needs to be done... If you choose not to, well that is on you..
