How do you get a type IX

Been playing for years. I run the Living Silent Hunter supermod since 2015 and am running the 2022 version today.

I have seen type IIs and type VIIs and ran with and upgraded both. I have played well into 1944 and have started out in ports in Germany, France and Italy. I have had more renown than Himmler himself and I have NEVER seen a type IX.

What do I have to do to see a type IX in the menu?

After I updated the Flotilla.cfg file, I had a type VIIC at Lorient and at type IXB at St Nazaire.

The Living Silent Hunter super mod (2022 version) updates this file and for some reason wipes out all the subs.

For me the fix was to search for Flotilla.cfg and compare the modded version to the original and update the NbUBoats and UBoat values for each flotilla in the file to the original version.

Dunno yet if that is the "proper" fix but I got a type IX out of St Nazaire and I'm going with it.

OK.

I found a thread that talked about editing Flotilla.cfg. I found two versions, the game vanilla and the LSH mod version and compared the two.

LSH took out all my subs..

After making some tweaks to the cfg file, I started up the game, switched to flotilla 7 and viola!

NbUboats7=3
Uboat7_0=1
Uboat7_1=2
Uboat7_1=3

I don't know. I've never played a modified version.

so what boats are available? if none that's a problem i have never had, your in the right place, right time, right amount of Renown you should have a IX by now very puzzled
