Silent Hunter III

Silent Hunter III

(Fixed) Broken Enemy AI
So I've been seeing tons of enemy ships get stuck on land and beached, so I'm wondering, is anybody else having this issue and does anyone know a fix? In Scapa Flow especially ships get stuck on the Anti-Submarine netting (I'm early game) and today I also watched 2 enemy aircraft crash into each other.

Anybody else having this issue and does anyone know a patch? Thanks in advance.

would you happen to be loading your game near where these crashes are happening? the save file doesnt save the pathing of the ships. if its not that im not familiar enough with the game to know what could be causing it.

That's probably it. I just save and load wherever and whenever I feel like it so this is most likely what's causing it. Thanks for the help!

Stick to savegame-rules!

This is answered in
FIEDLER'S SH3 STEAM FAQ[www.donitzeliteflotilla.com]
Read Q#18 and 19.
Turns out I've broken every never except for the last one multiple times (Often at the same time) so I'm very lucky not to have any corrupted savegames. I like to play in short breaks though, so it's gonna be hard for me to do all that, but I'll try my best! Thanks for the help!

No worries, mate! It's not your fault!
Ubisoft failed at it and never bothered to fix it.
Most of us had to learn all this the hard way... now we at least got the FAQ...
That must have been some serious pain, considering how specific the FAQ people know the causes of save problems

You wouldn't believe how long it took to collect all that stuff and then assess and filter out the nonsense (obvious b/s or 'maybe-stuff' like "probably it's A, but it can be B also" that doesn't help anybody else than Subsim who get money by donations) to boil down to the rough facts...
God bless their souls
