Carreer saves gone

So, went back to carreer mode today, ready to continue a game I had going and... saves gone
can access to load saves menu, but the saves thenselves are just gone.
help, please!?

Turns out its a known glitch, literally just gotta go to documents and edit my comander name, start the game, then change it back on documents again

Seriously fed up with this. I was on probably my last career mission in early 1945 and ... all saves and my entire career gone. Strangely, Steam knows that I played for 170 hours but not that I had a career. The shortcut went from my desktop too. I think it was after a routine Steam update.

the carreer thing is aparently an old bug on the game, just find the saves folder with your carreer stuff, add a X to your captain name, start the game and go load, it will all be there (though your name will now have an X added to it, which you can remove by going back to the folder and removing the X from it)

Nonsense! SH3 puts is savegames into
C:\Users\YOUROWNNAMEHERE\Documents\SH3

'SH3' can also be GWX, in case you run GWX. And so on for other mods. But the more important question is: Is YOUROWNNAMEHERE the same or are you using many accounts on your PC? Cause that would explain that you don't see them anymore. NAME1 doesn't see the files that you see when you're logged in as NAME2, for example.

You can see that SH3-related data if you use Frontend.
