Best Mod/Which Mod should i use?

I´m started to play Silent Hunter III again but i rally can´t decide which Mod i should choose. What do you recommend? GWX? LSH? WAC? I really don´t know :/

You must make parallel installs to do that. I gave an example on how to do that in

Some say the OneAlex Version is good, and indeed it looks good, but
a) OneAlex isn't a mod, it's a modsoup compiled by some Russian going by that name
b) OneAlex isn't a modsoup either, it's an illegal fully-cracked, full-download of the complete game that they're selling here on Steam and so I won't recommend it and won't post links to it until there's a legal way to get and install it (apparently in the works).

Others recommend GWR or LSH, hence why I posted the link where you got a whole list of everything.

Whatever your choice is: Make multiple installs! That way you can compare and see what you like most!

Is there a megamod with an easy installation ?

I have a full paid version of SH3 so I have no desire to install an illegal cracked version from a Russian server.

I looked up GWX, however as per Subsim website I should pay for the download, if I go to the Mediafire link there are 32 files and since i don't have a premium license I can only download them one by one.

There is a megamod called NYGM, I go to the page and learn it's like 13 mods in a list, some essential, some not, a certain sequence is required to install it properly.

On top I need to install a patch, then a 4gb patch, then a Steam fix for the patch ?

The game is dated, most mod websites are therefore also dated. The mods might be fine but while browsing I found dead links, requirements to register with different websites if I want to download a fix or patch or mod and other barriers to make the installation difficult.

I just remembered this game from a few year back and wanted to play again. But I don't want want to spend a full day just getting all patches, fixes, files etc together and then in the right order.

Is there any megamod where I can just install the Steam version of SH3, then the megamod and then play ? I am looking for any megamod with a few more cities on the map and bigger harbours than the base game from Ubisoft. Plus maybe real ship names/cargo/crew for the patrol log.
